I have decided to start doing monthly non-bookish favourites. I think it is fun to talk about things other than books on this blog every once in awhile, and I figured this was a great way to do it! I will talk about all of the movies, TV shows, music, food, etc I loved during the month.
Blockers is not the kind of movie that I normally go to the theaters to see but my friends wanted to go and I am so glad that they did! This movie was absolutely hilarious and the whole theater was laughing out loud. I adore Leslie Mann so I knew she would nail it, but the other actors were amazing as well. I was shocked by how funny John Cena was! Not only was Blockers funny, it was also endearing. Go see this movie!
The Glass Castle
The Glass Castle is one of my favourite memoirs, and for that reason, I have been reluctant to watch the movie. I thought that it was pretty great and I am happy I finally decided to give it a chance. Woody Harrelson was amazing, of course!
The Resident is yet another medical drama, but in my opinion it stands out from the packed! I love so many of these characters, and absolutely despise others! It has been a long time since I was so passionate about a TV show. It feel likes what Grey’s Anatomy used to be. It also doesn’t hurt that Matt Czuchry is adorable and I have always liked Emily Vancamp.
The Great Pottery Throw Down
Do you like The Great British Bake Off? If so, then I think you will love The Great Potter Throw Down! It follows the same format as The Bake Off but they make pottery instead. It is fun to watch, and one of the judges is so passionate that when someone does well he cries. It is really sweet!
I have been a fan of Schitt’s Creek since it started but this month I have really been in to it! This season has been fantastic and I absolutely adore David and Patrick! With scenes like this one can you blame me? All of the characters seem to be growing this season and it has been refreshing to see! One of my favourite shows, and it is Canadian!
Spinach and Ricotta Gnocci
I love gnocci but it can be very heavy so I was looking for alternatives! This version has spinach and ricotta instead of potato so they are much lighter. My family enjoyed them as well!
Red Sunrise Booster Juice
I love fresh juice and Red Sunrise has become my favourite. It is beets, apples, and carrots and is absolutely delicious!
Too Faced Hangover Setting Spray
I have tried a lot of setting sprays and I think I have finally found the one that works best for me. I like the scent and the way that it sprays, and it also seems to work! It is also a primer which is a nice bonus!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter
This highlighter is stunning! It makes me feel so fancy when I use it! It is limited edition so get it while you can!
Library of Flowers Perfume Sampler
How cute is this? I love everything from this company! Each of these perfumes smells fresh and amazing and the nod to books and libraries is always fun.
I would love to know your opinions on any of my favourites this month! What did you love in April?

Haha they are both delicious!
I love The Resident too, it’s so different.
I hope it gets renewed for season two!
I do too!
I’ve been looking for a good setting spray! I’ll have to give this one a go.
I really love it!
I love Schitts Creek! I wish more people knew about it. Roland never fails to make me laugh (and cringe a little). 🙂
Me too! Ah Roland! I just love all of the characters!
I totally agree about the Glass Castle! I was hesitant, but I ended up really enjoying the movie!
I am so glad that I watched it!
I love the Great British Baking Show! I’ll have to check out the pottery one after I finish the baking show. 🙂
Ahh it’s so good!! You’ll love it!
