2024 Book Releases | Romance Edition 💞

I am so excited for all of the contemporary romances coming out in 2024! There are no January books on this list because I am doing a separate post for January. Also, these are all traditional published because it is difficult to know when self-published books are coming out this far in advance, but I will include them in my monthly posts!

Release Date: February 6th

I finally read Seven Days in June earlier this year and talk about a book that deserves all of the hype that it gets! A Love Song for Ricki Wilde is arguably my most anticipated romance of 2024 and I am excited we are getting it so early in the year. I adore passionate love stories where the characters are artists and I have heard that this particular story is actually told in two timelines, one of which is historical. It sounds quite different from Seven Days in June but I have no doubt it will be just as beautiful!

Release Date: February 13th

I have an eARC of How You Get the Girl and I read the first couple chapters and I am hooked! Anita Kelly has quickly become one of my favourite romance authors because I just love the way she writes her characters and they always have incredible chemistry. I can already feel the connection between Julie and Elle!

Release Date: February 27th

The Partner Plot is a second chance romance where high school sweethearts run into each other in Vegas and, after a night of partying, they wake up to find they got married. It sounds like so much fun and I have a feeling it is going to be one of those books that I will read with a smile on my face the entire time.

Release Date: March 1st

The Boyfriend Subscription is being compared to Pretty Woman and that is all I needed to hear! It also has fake dating and seems to be opposites attract. I have a feeling I am going to absolutely adore Teddy because I am always here for a shy love interest and I love that he owned a plant store.

Release Date: March 26th

I love a good romcom where the main character is not only unlucky in love but also seems to just have bad luck in general. It is a classic set up but it is always fun, so I cannot wait to see what Alina Khawaja does with it in Maya’s Laws of Love!

Release Date: April 2nd

Abby Jimenez wrote my favourite romance (A Part of Your World) but she also wrote one of my most disappointing books of 2023 (Yours Truly), so I am nervous about Just for the Summer but I am also cautiously optimistic and excited for it. It sounds like the premise of Good Luck Chuck but with a twist and it will obviously tackle some of the heavier themes that Abby Jimenez is known to explore in her romances.

Release Date: April 2nd

The only book from Sarah Adams I have read is When in Rome but it helped me gets out of a slump so I look back on it foundly and I do own Practice Makes Perfect. This premise seems a little ridiculous but it could be fun? I love that she is sports agent!

Release Date: April 9th

It looks like we are getting a lot of sports romances next year, which is not at all surprising because it has been really popular! The Prospects looks adorable and I love the idea of a rivals to lovers romances between teammates.

Release Date: April 9th

I can’t say that I have ever read a romance with an astronaut but I am all about it! There are so many punny lines in the synopsis for The Kiss Countdown that I already know I am going to have a good time with this one.

Release Date: April 16th

I love a good romance set in Hollywood and I do appreciate a second chance romance when it is done well. The hint at a scandal in the synopsis for When I Think of You is what intrigues me most about it!

Release Date: April 30th

I liked The Fiancee Farce by Alexandria Bellefleur but the relationship was almost too healthy and they got together too quickly that I was a little bored. I am hoping that we get some more angst in Truly, Madly, Deeply but I love that it is a romance between the co-hosts of a dating podcast! She writes romance novels and he is a divorce lawyer, so their views on love are very different. So fun!

Release Date: May 7th

I just read a couple novellas from Jackie Lau and thought they were so much fun, so I am excited to read a full length novel from her. There is a lot of food in her novellas and the pie on Love, Lies, and Cherry Pie tells me we will be getting more of the same and I love that. There is also a cat and fake dating!

Release Date: May 21st

Are you kidding me? Second Night Stand is a romance between a burlesque dancer and a ballerina who are competing against one another on a reality TV talent show!

Release Date: May 28th

D’Vaughn and Kris Plan a Wedding is one of my favourite romances and I have been impatiently awaiting for something new from Chencia C. Higgins ever since. A Little Kissing Between Friends is a best friends to lovers romance, which does make me a little bit nervous. but I trust the author do handle the trope well!

Release Date: June 4th

The heroine of Pardon My Frenchie has a dog boarding business called Barkingham Palace. I mean… come on! So cute! I really liked The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon, so I am looking forward to something new from her.

Release Date: June 18th

Surprise, surprise! We have another sports romance and this one is from an author who I have read from and enjoyed in the past. I think that Alicia Thompson gets the cutest covers and The Art of Catching Feels is no exception. The fact that she heckles him and he doesn’t realize it was her when they get together makes me think that this could be messy and those kind of romances are hit or miss for me but I am definitely going to give a try!

Release Date: July 2nd

I have been waiting for A Legend in the Baking ever since I read and loved Fake It Til You Bake It! That was one of the books that made me fall in love with foodie romances and the fact that this is a companion novel to Fake It Til You Bake It makes me so happy. I love to read about football players who own a bakery!

Release Date: July 23rd

Ne’er Duke Well is giving me Emma by Jane Austen vibes and I love that! The heroine is a matchmaker who just so happens to runa secret library of erotic books for women. I think I am going to adore her!

Release Date: August 6th

Speaking of Jane Austen, Talia Hibbert (who I adore!) has a new series coming where each of the books is a contemporary romcom inspired by a different Jane Austen novel! I never needed anything more! The first book is called Skybriar and is inspired by Pride and Prejudice.

Release Date: August 6th

Second Tide’s the Charm just looks adorable and of course I am going to read a second-chance romance a marine biologist and her ex-boyfriend who is famous on YouTube for his shark videos.
