Books I’ve Read/Want to Read Because of Top Ten Tuesday

I do not track the book recommendations that I get from Top Ten Tuesday because I get so many that it would be overwhelming, so I thought it would be fun to go through some of last week’s posts and share the books that caught my eye. This is perfect because the topic last week was about forgotten backlist titles, so I found some hidden gems. I will also link you to the posts I got the recommendations from, so please check out these bloggers as well!

Before we get into it, I want to share my newest YouTube video with you! In this vlog, I read an ARC of Bookshops and Bonedust and it warmed my heart. Check out the video if you want to hear all of my thoughts on one of my most anticipated reads of 2023!

With that out of the way, let’s get into the recommendations from my fellow bloggers!

Speak Easy, Speak Love was a recommendation from Dedra @ A Book Wanderer. To be honest, a lot of books on Dedra’s list caught my eye! I chose this one because I do appreciate YA historical fiction once in a while but don’t know of many. The fact that it is a retelling of Much Ado About Nothing is a bonus!

Power of Five was a recommendation from Lindsey @ Lindsey Reads. I have been getting more and more into fantasy romance, so I will take all of the recommendations I can get, especially backlist titles that I may have missed! I also just read my first reverse harem series and was surprised by how much fun I had with it, so I am open to trying more.

The Copper Promise was a recommendation from Annemieke @ A Dance With Books. I will take all of the dragon books I can get my grubby little hands on! Of course, I have heard about Ninth Rain from Jen Williams (and it is on my TBR) but this series is new to me and I am definitely intrigued by it.

The False Prince was a recommendation from the blog Literacious. I admittedly don’t read a ton of middle grade but this looks like something I would really enjoy!

The Midnight Lullaby was a recommendation from Jennifer @ Book Den. This book has less than 100 ratings on Goodreads and it sounds so good. It is also less than 200 pages and is on Kindle Unlimited, so might be a good one for the fall!

Graffiti Moon was a recommendation from Rissa @ Pretentious Reader. Words in Deep Blue by this author has been on my TBR for years but I somehow missed this one! So many of my friends on Goodreads gave it five stars, so it is definitely a book I am open to checking out.

Spelling the Tea was a recommendation from Blaise Jean. They had a lot of amazing cozy mystery recommendations but this one has a vampire who owns a tea room, so you know it went on my list so fast!

Snow Bound was a recommendation from Susan @ Bloggin’ ’bout Books. I have read Blake Crouch’s popular novels but have never looked too deeply into his backlist, so this is a new book for me! I am always looking for snowy thrillers, so this looks perfect.

Magic Bitter Magic Sweet was a recommendation from Dini @ Dini Panda Reads. Charlie N. Holmberg is an author I think I am going to adore but have yet to read from. She has such an extensive backlist and every time I hear about a book of hers I add it to my TBR because they all sound so good!

You, Again was a recommendation from A.D. Perry @ Standing Tree Reads. They switched up this week’s prompt and instead shared quotes from their recent reads and this romance caught my eye. It comes out in September so I will definitely add it to my “most anticipated” list!

Have you read any of these books or were any of them already on your TBR?

  1. Speak Easy, Speak Love was such a good Shakespearean retelling. Haven’t read any of the others in your TTT list, but they all seem great!
