Stacking the Shelves (#17)

Stacking The Shelves (hosted by Reading Reality) is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, whether physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

These are the physical books that I have recently added to my shelves! A Trip With Trouble is a cozy mystery that St. Martin’s Press sent my way. They have sent me a few cozies lately, so they must be reading my mind. I am in such a cozy mystery mood!

HarperCollins Canada sent me an ARC of The Ghost Woods and I have already read and loved this one. C.J. Cooke is an auto-buy author for me and I recommended checking out her books if you enjoy Gothic horror.

St. Martin’s Press also sent me a copy of Mistakes Were Made and I screamed when I found this on my doorstep! It is an age-gap sapphic moment where our main character has a romance with her best friend’s mom. I will be reading this in November!

Spells for Forgetting was the Adult Fairyloot pick for September and it is one that I am excited to read. I know that a lot of people adore Adrienne Young and I am excited to read my first book from her.

I am slowly collecting all of the holiday romances that I want to read, starting with A Merry Little Meet Cute. I have an eARC of this one, but I couldn’t resist this adorable cover. The premise of this one sounds like so much fun!

I bought two audiobooks recently! I have already listened to The Spare Man and had such a good time with it. It was like reading an Agatha Christie novel set on a spaceliner. I also really loved the narrator!

I have plans to read celebrity memoirs for Nonfiction November and Mean Baby is at the top of my list! Audiobooks are the only way I will read celebrity memoirs, so I had to use one of my credits for this one. I will be starting this on November 1st and cannot wait!

What is the last book you hauled?

  1. Great haul! I got the ebook copy of The Spare Man, but I haven’t read it yet. Soon, I hope! Did the author narrate her own book for this one also? I know she’s a professional narrator as well, and she often reads her own work. She does a great job with them.
