I had so much fun putting this list together and I might have to start using these bookish words more often!

Abibliophobia: fear of running out of things to read

Bibliophage: a person who loves to read books

Book-Bosomed: someone who carried a book at all times

Chaptigue: the next-day tiredness you experience from staying up all night reading

Helluo Librorum: an obsessive and insatiable bookworm

Perfictionist: a picky reader

Sentranced: memorized by a sentence

Scrollmate: an author with whom a reader feels a deep connection

Smellbound: being captivated by the smell of books

Tsundoku: acquiring reading materials but letting them pile up in one’s home without reading them

I hadn’t heard of any of these words. It’s delightful to learn new ones. 🙂

I’m so glad!
Love these! Think my fave is sentranced 🤣
Haha it is a good one!!
Fun words! I haven’t heard of most of them. I’ve definitely experienced chaptigue before!
Me too! I am going to have to start using that term.
What cute terms!
Right?? So fun!
These are great and now I’ve learned a lot of new words!
I’m so glad! I had fun putting this together!
What brilliant words!
this is so fun!!! I learned so much
I think chaptigue is my favorite lol
So many of these apply to me. My husband isn’t even phased by the amount of books I keep on my beside table anymore (that actually get read) 😅
I love your take on this week’s prompt! I can definitely see a lot of these applying to me.
Right? Same!
I adore these! I’ve never come across book-bosomed before, but it’s perfect! And I regularly encounter chaptigue… just never knew what to call it!
I loved putting this together and I need to add the word chaptigue to my vocabulary. It is perfect!
Finally, there’s a name for what I am: a perfictionist 😂 I can easily leave a book half-read if I don’t find it good enough.
Thank you for this interesting post!
Haha I loved that one!
