Hocus Pocus Book Tag

I do this tag every October because Hocus Pocus is my favourite Halloween movie and I just have to!

The Kiss Quotient series is not exactly a spooky trilogy, but it is definitely one of my favourites! I have realized that most of the trilogies that I have read and love are romance. The Kiss Quotient series is not exactly a spooky trilogy, but it is definitely one of my favourites! Each book was better than the last and I am so sad that it is over. I cannot wait to see what Helen Hoang writes next!

There are so many books that I wanted to choose for this prompt, but I think even saying that a female character within a book is a villain could be a spoiler! That is why I settled on Scarlett from They Never Learn, though whether or not she is evil is up to debate. I was fascinated by her and the book in general. It really had me thinking!

I have yet to read Amari and the Night Brothers, but I have heard so many incredible things and I have a feeling that it is going to become more and more popular as the series continues. It seems to attract children and adults alike! I would love to read it before the second book comes out next year!

Finlay Donovan is Killing It is silly in the best way possible! I loved Finlay and it was hilarious to see the situations that she found herself in and I loved seeing how it all played out. I was lucky enough to be approved for an eARC of the sequel and it is taking everything in me to not stop everything and read it right now!

The premise of The Maidens was so intriguing and there is inherently something cool about dark academia, but I think that The Maidens ultimately missed the mark.

I am always amazed by how much fiction can say about the real world. That is certainly the case with Ace of Spades and I think it is the main reason why the book is so impactful and everyone seems to be talking about it.

I adore Nora Roberts and have been wanting to try the In Death series, which she writes under the pen name JD Robb. I was shocked to find that there are 50 books in the series! Honestly, is Nora Roberts human!?

I don’t think Reid from the Serpent & Dove series is actually dumb, but he made more and more questionable decisions as the series went on! I hate to say it but I could not stand him by the time we got to Gods & Monsters.

Raybearer is my favourite duology, and I truly believe that it is perfect as is; however, I would selfishly love more!

There’s Someone Inside Your House gets such mixed reviews but I thought it was fun for what it is! It reads like a slasher film that you cannot take too seriously and I absolutely flew through it.

I have never read anything quite like Plain Bad Heroines. It is told in such a unique way and it has been a year since I read it but I still think about it all of the time!

What I love about so many of my favourite romance series is that there are cameos from characters in the other books but you do not have to read them in order! The Kiss Quotient, The Brown Sisters, and The Friend Zone series all do this.
