I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I started Oona Out of Order. In theory, I love books about time travel, but I have been let down by them many times. It is so difficult to make the trope original! Fortunately, this is officially one of my favourite time travel books ever.

The timeline of Oona’s life is in scrambles. One year she is in her fifties and the next she is in her thirties. Why this happens is never explained and I think it is important to know that going in to it. Don’t try and look for answers. You just have to go with it!

I really love Oona as a character. It was interesting to see her grapple with her emotions. The character development is what makes this book special. So many people come in and out of her life and they all teach her something different. I was not expecting this book to be so emotional.

Montimore is incredible talented. She weaves this tale together so beautifully. It is evident that she did a lot of research. I loved all of the pop culture references!

I listened to the audiobook thanks for Libro fm and I highly recommend it.
