WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading-
White Oleander by Janet Fitch– I have not read enough of this book to form any kind of opinion yet, but I am definitely intrigued. This is definitely the kind of book that I am currently in the mood for.
Recently Finished-
Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin– This book was different from what I expected, but I still enjoyed it! For some reason Warcross put me in to a bit of a slump, so I do not think I was in the right mood to fall in love with this book. I definitely want to continue the series though, and was so caught off guard by the ending!
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom– This is a reread for me! Since I was in a slump I thought that it would be nice to return to an old favourite, and I am so glad that I did. I fell in love with this book all over again!
Reading Next-
Britt-Marie Was Here by Fredrik Backman– I said that I was going to read this book a few WWW Wednesday’s ago and I never got around to it! I really am in the mood for a book by Backman, so I am looking forward to finally making the time to read it!
Have you read any of these books? What did you think! I would love to know what you are currently reading as well!
White Oleander is one of my top favorite books!! I really hope you enjoy it!
Ah that makes me even more excited about it!
yaaaay, so glad you fell in love again with “the five people you meet in heaven” <3 <3 <3 i love mitch albom! i hope you get to the new backman book!
Mitch Albom is amazing. It is always so great revisiting his books! I hope so too!
A friend lent me the five people you meet in heaven last year when I was in a reading slump, I really enjoyed it and it really helped me get back into my reading! 🙂
I think because it is a compelling story and under 200 pages it is the perfect things to pull you out of a slump! Glad it worked for you too!
Glad you liked Wolf by Wolf too. That was also my take on the ending. I thought everything was sort of predictable (enjoyable, but predictable) until WHAM! A perfect I should have seen it coming ending 🙂
So true! It was very predictable until the end. It is a pretty genius ending- probably one of my favourites!
I still have Wolf by Wolf on my TBR.
My most recent read was All’s Faire in Middle School by Victoria Jamieson. My current read is The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty, and I think my next read will probably be The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden.
I really want to read The City of Brass! Can;t wait to see your thoughts on that one!
I’m really enjoying it so far, and will have a review up once I’m finished.
I have had Wolf by Wolf on my kindle for a while but haven’t had a chance to read so I’m happy to hear you enjoyed it.
I would also really like to read another Backman. I really liked The Scandal (aka Beartown) despite it not being my usual type read because of his writing.
Bear Town is definitely on my list! I am happy to hear you enjoyed it!
I agree 100% about the end of Wolf by Wolf! I loved it. I really do need to continue on with the series! Glad you enjoyed it!
Here is my post for today: https://katelynpdickinson.wordpress.com/2017/11/15/www-wednesday-11-15-17/
Thank you! The ending was awesome!
I read White Oleander last year and was blown away by it. Hope you enjoy it too!
That is good to hear! I have a feeling I am going to love it!
I hope you like White Oleander. I got duped and listened to an abridged audiobook so I’m trying to forget what happened so I can read it anew in a year or so, haha. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
Thank you!! I will definitely let you know my thoughts when I finish!!
i loved wolf by wolf but i read it a couple years back so i wasn’t sure whether it would hold up! glad you liked it 🙂
It is definitely a original book! I think it holds up!
I have books in my TBR section for months…I just plop my next batch of reads in. I’m trying to be somewhat of a mood reader and choose within my batch of reads. I hope you get out of your slump soon!
Thank you! I think there is something about this time of year that is so busy and it is hard to even think about reading!
