July 2025 Book Releases

Summer releases are strong this year!

July 1st

Tiffany D. Jackson is an auto-buy author for me and it has been ages since we had something new from her! I cannot wait to see what she does within middle grade and I will be reading this ASAP.

I am on a journey with romantasy and I am trying to figure out what I love in the genre and I think Gothic might be it since it is something I love in other genres. The synopsis of this one is certainly intriguing!

Look how cute this cover is! How could I not want to read this? I have been back in my cozy fantasy face and this just sounds too perfect.

Despite owning a few orc romances on my kindle, I have never read one! I think I might start here because I have been hearing good things and I know that people love this author.

July 8th

This is the sequel to Lore of the Wilds, which I know was divisive but it did things that I really loved and I have been waiting for the sequel. I especially love that this is a duology!

Evocation was one of my favourite books of last year so you know I am dying to read the sequel! S.T. Gibson writes relationships so so well and I cannot wait to see what is next for these characters.

How cute does this look? I will read anything if you tell me it is about witches and fake dating. Then you set it in a bakery? Could not be more perfect for me!

There are a lot of horror novels that center around botany coming out this year and you won’t see me complain about that! Love that this one is set on a train.

This is the third book in the series and each of them have felt like a warm hug and I am sure this one will be no different! I love the set up and I already know I am invested in this world.

I have heard so many good things about this author and I love the idea of our main character taking over her late mother’s advice column. I keep saying I need to read more historical romance!

I am intrigued to see what Julie Soto does with fantasy romance as I have only read her contemporary novels. I am a bit wary of this one because the setup isn’t really my thing but as I said I am working out what I love in fantasy romance and I have seen some early reviewers rave about this one.

This sounds so fun and unique! Phoenix riders? Yes, please!

July 15th

I cannot believe it is finally happening! I have had this on so many posts like this but the release date kept getting pushed back. I have been so jealous of everyone who got early copies because people have been loving it!

I was lucky enough to get an ALC of this and ADORED IT! Any time I read something from Sarah Beth Durst it ends up being one of my best books of the year and I don’t think it will be any different this year.

I love Silvia Moreno-Garcia and cannot wait to read something witchy from her. I also love multi-generational stories and it has been a minute since I picked one up!

This sounds like the perfect book to read this summer and I really do enjoy books that follow sirens. There is just something so alluring about them, which is the whole point.

If you tell me something is for fans of T. Kingfisher, there is a good chance that I will be tempted to read it. I also love forest settings and cli-fi horror. The only thing that makes me a little nervous is that I don’t often mesh well with cosmic horror, but we will see if this is an exception!

How adorable does this look? I have read a few romances that mention D&D lately and I think that is so fun. I also love that there is a little fantasy element because we also follow the characters they play within the game.

July 22nd

I know that Elisa Kova is a popular author and the setting of this one is what intrigues me. I am always curious about tarot magic but haven’t read a book that focuses on it that I have absolutely loved. I am hoping this is the one!

Give me all of the romances that center around pop stars! It is even better when it is a pop star who is in a scandal and has to go back to their hometown and they fall for someone who works on the family ranch. That screams Hallmark movie and I LOVE IT!

July 29th

I loved Regina Black’s rebut romance so I have been impatiently waiting for something new from her and this sounds like something I am going to love. Another book following a musician but I know this author is amazing at writing flawed characters.

Delicious Monsters is one of my favourite books and I do not talk about it enough! So excited to have something new from this author that feels like it is in the same vein as that book.

I noticed there are a lot of books with academic settings coming out this month and I am here for it! I am hit or miss with competitions within fantasy these days but I will definitely be looking out for reviews.

I am so intrigued by the idea that the magic in this world is fueled by pleasure and pain. I also love a good revenge story!

  1. Coffeeshop in an Alternate Universe sounds like such a cute and cozy read! I’m looking forward to that one. (And also a few others, but I need to read the book one in all those other series first.)
