I am so excited to announce that I am, once again, co-hosting the Reindeer Readathon in December and I am the captain of Team Stocking for the second year in a row. We did win last year so we have to defend our crowns!
If you want to join us, all you have to do is fill out the sign up form and Erik (the wonderful creator of the readathon!) will email you your team assignment. If you are on Discord, make sure to join us because there is a lot of fun stuff happening over there!
I also want to note that there will be a ton of reading sprints throughout the month and you will want to check those out since there will be giveaways!

My TBR

The first five words that jumped out at me were “blood”, “book”, “queen”, “summer”, and “sushi”. I had a few options for the first three words but ultimately settled on The Book of Gothel since it has been recommended to me many times and I just never put aside time to read it, so this is the perfect excuse to finally read it!

You are going to see a lot of holiday romances on my TBR, so be prepared! Three Holidays and a Wedding is on the top of my list because I already know I love Uzma Jalaluddin. This book takes place in the year 2000, which is the last time Christmas, Hannukah, and Ramadan all fell at the same time. That setup alone makes me excited for this one!

The sequel to This Vicious Grace is coming out in December, so I am rereading book one with a friend who loves it just as much as I do. This is the only prompt where I could squeeze it on my TBR as it is fantasy, so the island where it is set does not exist and therefore I have never been there!

I have been putting off reading The Scandalous Confessions of Lydia Bennet, Witch simply because of the extreme expectations I have for it. There are two things I love- Pride and Prejudice retellings and witchy stories. If I don’t end up loving this book it will be a travesty!

I am a Gemini and I actually struggled with this prompt until I remember I have been dying to read Gwen and Art are Not in Love! I have read and loved something else by Lex Croucher and I am also up for a good Arthurian retelling.

I love romances that are dual POV, so I was happy to find that we have that in Mistletoe and Mishigas! I know so many teachers but I can’t say I have ever read a romance that focuses on teachers, so I am intrigued.

I bought A Cat Cafe Christmas back in August because I could not resist that adorable cover and it could not be more perfect for this prompt!

If you watch the video, I was lucky enough to roll a two, so I had a lot of options for this! I then remembered that I had agreed to a buddy read of Accidental Magic, so that worked out nicely.

I went with a 2023 release that I have been saving for December! I am not a hockey lover (which makes me a terrible Canadian!) but I am open to trying some hockey romance and I am going to start that journey with Time to Shine!

Good luck with your TBR! I’m also planning on reading This Vicious Grace with a friend, as I never got around to reading the Arc I got 😊 A Cat Cafe Christmas looks so cute, I’d love to read it, but I already have too many books on my TBR 😂
