WWW Wednesday (March 29th, 2023)

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I am a few chapters into Daughter of the Forest and I am loving this! There is something so special about Juliet Marillier’s writing and I am so glad that this book has remained popular all these years later. There is definitely a fairytale-like vibe to the writing!

Just Finished

I finally read Winter’s Orbit and it was exactly what I needed. I was sick last week and needed something to listen to while lying in bed and settled on this one. So glad I did because the romance was everything, though I will say that some of the content was heavier than I anticipated. Content warnings for domestic abuse.

After being sick, I felt myself feeling slumpy. I even soft dnfed The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi for now because it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting or in the mood to read. I figured it was time for a contemporary romance, so I went for When in Rome. If you are looking for something similar to Part of Your World but that is on the lighter side, I think this is the perfect book to try. It has so many of my favourite romance tropes- celebrity, foodie, small town, cinnamon roll hero! It was exactly what I needed.

Starting Next

I am so excited to finally be reading Into the Drowning Deep. It will be my first book of April!

  1. I’m reading an ARC of Claire Contreras, Until I Get You.
I just finished another ARC by Lara Wray called Aluis Academy (review is on my site)
My next book is going to be The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi

  2. I need to read Daughter of the Forest! I loved Winter’s Orbit too. I’m excited to see that you’re going to read Into the Drowning Deep!! I’m assuming you’ve read the novella that comes first, right? (If not, definitely start with Rolling in the Deep). Enjoy!
