WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading

I am buddy reading Babel and we are reading about 10 chapters a week and I am really enjoying myself. I think that this is a book that should be buddy read, if that is an option for you. There is a lot to unpack here!
I have an ARC of The Ghost Woods, which comes out next week, and I would love to finish it beforehand. I am enjoying the setting and I am so intrigued about where this is going, but it always talks me longer to read Gothic horror. My brother and his girlfriend are visiting tomorrow and will be here for a week, so I don’t know how much reading time I will have!
Just Finished

Clown in a Cornfield took me a minute to get into. The first half felt like a lot of setup, and I cannot say that I cared about these characters at all. But once the clown comes in and this starts to feel like a true slasher, I had a good time. I think you have to suspend your disbelief to enjoy this one and that it reads like a satire in a lot of ways, but it was fun!
The Lost Girls really does read like John Tucker Must Die with vampires. I thought that this was campy and, much like Clown in a Cornfield, a book that you can’t take too seriously. I struggled with the forever 16-year-old vampire who falls in love with the teenage mortal (she is 18 in this case!), but I think the book is kind of making fun of itself.
Starting Next

I am reading In the Company of Witches for a cozy mystery book club, so I want to get to it soon! I am craving both cozy mysteries and witches right now, so this couldn’t be more perfect.
I was sent an ARC of Anywhere You Run and I really would love to pick it up soon! I have not been into thrillers recently, but I think this may be an exception. It sounds like it is more of a historical thriller and I have heard amazing things about Wanda M. Morris’ debut, All Her Little Secrets.

It’s so atmospheric so far!
I’m looking forward to reading Babel soon. Thanks for the tip to buddy read it. Will definitely look for someone to do so with me 😊
I’m sure there are a lot of readers looking to buddy read it!!
I just finished Babel!! It was so good!!
I’m really enjoying it!
Clown in a Cornfield was super fun. It was like reading a teen slasher movie. I can’t wait to read the second one that’s out this month! It did take me a while to get into though so I’m hoping the sequel will have less set up.

Im hoping to get to Her Majesty’s Royal Coven this month but honestly don’t know if I will fit it in.
The Ghost Woods looks like an excellent spooky season read!
