Blogmas (Day Twenty-Four) | The Christmas Eve Book Tag

Happy Christmas Eve! This is my last post for blogmas and while I am ready for the break, I am also sad it is over. Thanks for all your support throughout the month, and Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

I have gotten back into the habit of reading first thing in the morning and My Contrary Mary is the book that got me doing that again! I love this author trio and their sense of humour. Waking up to this version of Mary Queen of Scot’s story always started my day on the right foot!

I truly love it all! Give me a candy cane and a snickerdoodle and I am a happy girl! Something I have really gotten into this year is hot chocolate bombs. They are not only delicious, but they also make drinking hot chocolate more fun. I have started making my own, and this kit from Gourmet Village is really good and comes with the silicon mold you need to make them.

I think that I used a Matt Haig book for this question last year, but I just can’t help myself. I just listened to The Comfort Book and it was exactly what I needed right now. It is simply a collection of the author’s thoughts and tidbits he has learned over the years, but I took a lot away from it. I need to buy a physical copy so I can highlight my favourite sections!

Same answer as last year! I think Maybe This Christmas will always be my favourite Christmas song.

I also have to shout out this ASMR room! It is a Christmasy reading room and it is so calming. I love having this on in the background all day long.

There are so many, but Bitter is one of the few that I actually have a countdown for on my phone. Pet absolutely blew me away, and I was already fascinated with Pet’s mother, so I am happy that we are getting more of her story.

I am not often kept up late reading these days, but when it does happen it is always with a romance! It Happened One Summer is one of my favourite romances of the year and I read it compulsively!

No surprises here because I have talked about this a lot, but Lore Olympus is the one book I would love to find under the tree on Christmas morning!

  1. Merry Christmas, Kristin! 🎄😊
I’ve seen hot chocolate bombs everywhere! I’ve tried the President’s Choice ones and so far I haven’t had much success with them, but I’m willing to keep trying!
