I always enjoy reading other bloggers’ weekly updates, so I thought I would start sharing mine as well! I will talk about the books that I read during the week and the BookTube videos that I posted, and I will also share some of my favourite blog posts that I came across throughout the week!
Books Read

I quickly fell in love with Honey Girl and Morgan Rogers’ writing. The romance is sweet but it is the character development that really resonated with me! I think many readers can relate to Grace and her journey to finding what makes her happy. Also, the found family trope in here is everything!

The Empress of Salt and Fortune is so beautiful! I loved it on audio, but I think I am going to buy the physical copy and reread it. This is a book that I need to experience fully and become deeply immersed in. Tor novellas never let me down!

Punching the Air has quickly become one of my favourite books. There is something so special about hard-hitting contemporary written in verse, and it works for well in this story. I also love when art is at the center of the story, which is very true for Punching the Air!

Echo North had so much promise but it was ultimately not the book for me. I am starting to question whether I will ever find a Beauty and the Beast retelling I truly love!

Glad you enjoyed most of them! Echo North was different, but I enjoyed it for the most part.
I’ve heard so much about Honey Girl that I may just read it. It doesn’t seem like what I’d normally read but after hearing so much, I’m rather tempted.
It makes me want to cry that you didn’t care for Echo North. That’s one of my favorite books and Joanna Meyer is probably my favorite author of all time. I hope you give Into the Heartless Wood a try anyways! I’d like to read Honey Girl at some point 🙂
I really did love her writing!! I think I am just not destined to enjoy Beauty and the Beast retellings. I definitely want to read something else by her!
I absolutely adored Honey Girl! Thank you for sharing!
It was so beautiful!
Enjoy your reading!

Thank you so much for sharing my post, Kristin!
So glad to see you loved Honey Girl! I’m super excited to read it
Of course!!
I think you are going to love Honey Girl!
I love your weekly reading vlogs! So glad to hear that you enjoyed Honey Girl and that a bookstore (that isn’t Chapters) is open near you! I can’t wait for everything to start slowly opening back up! I’m dying to get to a bookstore one day!!
I’m so glad. I love filming them!!
It was so nice to be in a bookstore again. It’s funny how something so small makes all the difference!
I’ve heard so many good things about Honey Girl and I’m definitely keen to check it out! Punching the Air is on my TBR and I have the physical and audio books so I’m really keen to check it out asap although I have a feeling it’s going to be quite an emotional read! Great wrap up 🙂
Both are wonderful! Punching the Air is definitely emotional and frustrating but beautiful! I bet it is great on audio.
Honey Girl looks fabulous! I think I have yet to see a single bad review for it so I am really looking forward to reading that one 🙂
