February is the shortest month of the year, but there are so many books that I would love to get to this month. Of course, I need to read a few romances, but I would also like to pick up a few of the books I talked about in my “most anticipated February releases” post. I am also participating in a few buddy reads, so those books are high priority! As you know, I am a mood reader so this list can change at any moment.

I will be reading both The House in the Cerulean Sea and Black Buck for buddy reads on Instagram.
The House in the Cerulean Sea seemed to be the book of 2020, and I feel like I am missing out! I have very little doubt that it will end up being a give star read and I am so ready to fall in love with TJ Klune’s work. I also have the audiobook for The Extraordinaries!
Black Buck is a newer release that has been getting a lot of buzz. It is said to be satire and is being compared to The Wolf of Wall Street, which really intrigues me. With all that is happening with the stock market right now, I feel like now is the perfect time to read a book like this one!

Nnedi Okorafor is an author who I have been wanting to read from for ages, but Who Fears Death wasn’t on my radar! I am reading it for Ashley at The Bookish Realm’s book club on Patreon. I know very little about this book other than it is SciFi/dystopian, but I am definitely intrigued. I am hoping I will love this and will also pick up Okorafor’s latest release, Remote Control.
I have an eARC of The Code Breaker, which comes out March 9th. I know very little about Jennifer Doudna, but I am curious about her research and I have heard amazing things about Walter Isaacson’s biographies.

Well Met and The Bromance Book Club are two romances I have tried to read in the past but couldn’t get into. They are both so well loved within the bookish community that I want to give them another chance to see if I can connect with the characters more this time around!

Ties That Tether is the latest book I added to my collection. It is a romance that came out last year. I haven’t heard many people talking about it, but the reviews I have seen have been glowing.
I have an ALC of Somewhere Between Bitter and Sweet thanks to Libro fm, which is so exciting as it is one of my most anticipated reads of the year! It doesn’t come out until April, but it is a YA romance so February seems like the perfect time to read it.

You Should See Me in a Crown is a book I meant to read last year! So many people absolutely adored it and I am so excited to finally read it!
I have both an ALC and a physical ARC of The Paris Library, which comes out February 9th. All I know is that it follows librarians during WWII, which is a side of the war I have never read about before, so I am intrigued!
There are few more books I would love to get to this month, such as The Princess Trap by Talia Hibbert and Lore by Alexandra Bracken, but I am trying to be more realistic!

Yeeesss The House in the Cerulean Sea! If there’s any book you read this month it should be this one 😂 Many of the books you’ve listed are also on my TBR but I did love Well Met and Bromance Book Club. The latter took a bit of time to get into but once I did I read it super quickly! Happy reading 🙂
I just started it!! Love hearing that you enjoyed both of those books. I am hoping that I am in the mood for them this month and they work for me!
The Paris Library is good… well… the WWII parts were really good. The contemporary parts… only fair.
That is good to know going in! I find that is often the case with dual timelines stories. One is always better!
True, but not always. I wrote a discussion post about multiple timelines that’s scheduled to go up next week.
I read The House in the Cerulean Sea last month and I loved it so much!! Hope you’ll love it just as much (the audiobook is perfect too!) 🥰
Yay! That makes me so excited!
I’m also reading House of the Cerulean Sea for a buddy read this month! I read You Should See Me in a Crown and absolutely adored it. It was so sweet!
Love hearing that! I just started The House in the Cerulean Sea!
