This is something I did for the first time last year and had so much fun looking back on the books I read during the year. I have decided to make it a yearly tradition. I am an absolutely sucker for a graph! Strangely enough, this time last year I had read 128 books and this year I have read 129.

What most surprises me was just how much non fiction I read this year! I knew that it was a lot, but didn’t realize that it made up for about a third of my reading. I would love to keep that momentum going in 2020. I am pretty happy with the other numbers as well and they are all pretty similar to last year. I didn’t read as much contemporary but I have no complaints about that. I would actually love to read more SciFi in 2020!

I am not surprised by the number of audiobooks because I tend to read my non fiction that way! These numbers are very similar to last year, which I think it sort of interesting. I don’t give much thought to format, so the fact that my numbers are consistent must say something about my reading!

These numbers do not add up to 129 because there are some authors who I have read multiple books from this year. It always surprises me that I do not read more books from authors I have loved in the past! Something I should really work on in 2020.

Wow, this is a neat idea. Makes you feel accomplished while simultaneously giving insight into your own likes, preferences and behaviors.
Thank you! It was so fun to look back on my year of reading. It really did teach me a lot about my reading habits!
Your number of audiobooks is amazing! That’s definitely something I need to up in 2020
Thank you! Audiobooks have been amazing for getting reading in when I am doing mindless tasks.
Congrats on such a great reading year! I’d like to read a little more non-fiction and think audiobooks could be the solution!
Thank you! Audiobooks were definitely that game changer for me when it came to non fiction.
Wow, that’s so awesome that you read so many non-fiction books as well as books by new authors!! I really love the idea of having graphs like these to look back on over the years. Such a clear way to track your reading!
Thank you! The graphs are so fun to put together and see how my reading has changed and how it has stayed the same.
What an awesome reading year! I haven’t had the time to see my stats/ breakdown. I definitely want to read more nonfiction next year too 🙂 Happy new year!
Thanks! It’s really fun to look back on your stats. I was so surprised by how many non fiction books I actually read! Happy New Year to you!
Congrats on your great reading year!

Great reading year! I was surprised, too, with how many female authors I read!
Thank you! It always surprises me!
These graphs are so cool!!! What non fiction have you enjoyed most? It is one of my goals for 2020 to read more non fiction
I posted my top nonfiction books of the year! But one book I always recommend to get into nonfiction is Bad Blood. It’s such a wild story!
Ok thanks I’ll check it out.
I love these graphs! I’m happy you included them again this year, it really helps put things in perspective
Thank you. It really is a fun way to look back on my reading!
