From the No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of House of Roots and Ruin, comes an irresistible blend of dark fairytale and romantic fantasy set in the beautiful but brutal Canadian wilderness.
Like everyone else in the settlement of Mistaken, Greer Mackenzie is trapped. Founded by an ambitious Scottish lumber merchant, the tiny town on the edge of the American continent is blessed with rich natural resources that have made its people prosperousโbut at a cost. The same woods that have lined the townsfolksโ pockets harbor dangerous beasts: wolves, bears, and the Bright-Eyedsโmonsters beyond description who have rained utter destruction down on nearby settlements. But Mistakenโs founders made a deal with the mysterious Benevolence: the Warding Stones that surround the town will keep the Bright-Eyeds outโand the townโs citizens in. Anyone who spends a night within Mistakenโs borders belongs to it forever.
Greer, a mapmaker and eccentric dreamer, has always ached to explore the world outside, even though she knows she and her longtime love, Ellis Beaufort, will never see it. Until, on the day she and Ellis are meant to finally begin their lives together, Greer watches in horror as her beloved disappears beyond the Warding Stones, pursued by a monstrous creature. Swiftly realizing that the stories she was raised on might be more myth than fact, Greer figures out a way to escape Mistaken for the very first time. Determined to rescue Ellis, she begins a trek through the cold and pitiless wilderness. But Greer is being hunted, not only by the ruthless Bright-Eyeds but by the secret truths behind Mistakenโs founding, as well as her own origins.
Playfully drawing from Scottish folklore, Erin A. Craigโs adult debut is both a deeply atmospheric and profoundly romantic exploration of freedom versus security: a stunning celebration of one womanโs relentless bravery on a quest to reclaim her lost loveโand claim her own future.
Erin. A Craig is amazing at writing atmosphere and I love the idea of starting the fall season with something new from her! Give me all of the creepy forest stories- those are some of my favourites to read this time of year.
Three years after their break-up, Kikiโs worked hard to forget her first love. But just as she thinks sheโs got her life under controlโjumping into the distractions of her romance-by-calendar-invite boyfriend, and plans for her best friend, Aminahโs, weddingโKikiโs career implodes, the family business teeters on collapse, and Malakai returns. As Malakai takes up his role as best man opposite her maid of honour, suddenly Kiki can think of nothing but their simmering chemistry, what went wrong, and why it is now impossible to act normal around each other.
Juggling a new job, the prospect of her parentsโ restaurant being sold, and keeping her best friend from going full bridezilla, dealing with The Ex is the last thing she needs. But somehow the spark between them is only getting hotterโand threatening to ruin everything.
I read an eARC of Sweet Heat and it is by far my favourite romance of the year and it will be tough to beat. You do have to read the first book, Honey & Spice, to fully appreciate this one but that is also one of my faves so it is worth it!
My new next-door neighbor seems to have everything figured out. Small town golden boy? Check. Single dad extraordinaire? Check. Hot baker forearms? I didnโt notice them, I swear.
I, on the other hand, donโtโat allโhave anything figured out.
Trust me, I didnโt think taking over my momโs dream bed and breakfast in Copper Run Vermont was going to be easy. It should be a good place to heal after my divorce. But apparently my scones belong in the garbage with my small talk skills. As pointed out by none other than Cliff.
Cliff is inescapable. He knows exactly what people needโalways. His charm, the way he wears flannel, and even his pastries, make not wanting to be friends with Cliff and his daughters pretty hard.
Friends? I can make friends. Thatโs safe.
Except Iโm leaving in three months to pass the inn off to my little sister and get the promotion in Seattle Iโve been working towards.
So ask me why Iโm thinking about kissing my hot neighbor.
We are getting more and more romances with fall vibes on the cover and I am loving it! Publishers and authors know that a lot of readers read seasonally, so it makes sense. This looks absolutely adorable and I love that the MMC is a baker with nice forearms.
A vampire, desperately torn between worlds, is hunted down by a secret society bent on his destruction, in this elegiac and unsettling queer gothic horror, perfect for fans of T. Kingfisher and Silvia Moreno-Garcia.
Frankenstein, Germany. Ambrose, a young vampire, lives a life secreted away from the modern world with the rest of his clan, all of them under the spell of the charismatic Regina, who spins stories of salvation for their kind. Their grand plan? To build makeshift wings and fly to the moon where a safe haven awaits for all vampires.
But Ambrose harbours a secret: he is not ready to abandon the earth, and he is in contact with a human who believes he can be saved. As the rest of his kind prepare to flee their home, Ambrose is torn between loyalties.
However something else is on the horizon โ the Royal Diurnal Society โ a group with sinister plans for vampires, are closing in, and if Ambrose isnโt careful, he could find himself right at the centre of a terrifying and mysterious experiment.
There is something about this cover that I just love and calls to me. The flying to the moon aspect of the story sounds a bit out there but I am definitely intrigued and will never say no to vampires.
Born โin the firelit domain of the under realm, Matilda is the youngest goddess of her clan, blessed with humble messenger magic. But in a land where gods often kill each other to steal power and alliances break as quickly as they are forged, Matilda must come of age sooner than most. She may be known to carry words and letters through the realms, but she holds a secret she must hide from even her dearest of allies to ensure her survival. And to complicate matters . . . there is a mortal boy who dreams of her, despite the fact they have never met in the waking world.
Ten years ago, Vincent of Beckett wrote to Matilda on the darkest night of his lifeโbegging the goddess he befriended in dreams to help him. When his request went unanswered, Vincent moved on, becoming the hardened, irreverent lord of the river who has long forgotten Matilda. That is, until she comes tumbling into his bedroom window with a letter for him.
As Fate would have it, Matilda and Vincent were destined to find each other beyond dreams. There may be a chance for Matilda to rewrite the blood-soaked ways of the gods, but at immense sacrifice. She will have to face something she fears even more than losing her magic: to be vulnerable, and to allow herself to finally be loved.
I have an eARC of this one and didnโt realize it is actually a prequel to Divine Rivals, which is on my TBR but I have not read. Itโll be interesting for me to read the series in chronologically order rather than publication order and to see how that works for me.
From the instantย New York Timesย bestselling author ofย Firekeeperโs Daughterย andย Warrior Girl Unearthedย comes a daring new mystery about a foster teen claiming her heritage on her own terms.
Ever since Lucy Smithโs father died five years ago, โhomeโ has been more of an idea than a place. She knows being on the run is better than anything waiting for her as a โward of the state.โ But when the sharp-eyed and kind Mr. Jameson with an interest in her case comes looking for her, Lucy wonders if hiding from her past will ever truly keep her safe.
Five years in the foster system has taught her to be cautious and smart. But she wants to believe Mr. Jameson and his โfriend-not-friend,โ a tall and fierce-looking woman who say they want to look after her.
They also tell Lucy the truth her father hid from her: She is Ojibwe; she has โ had โ a sister, and more siblings; a grandmother whoโd look after her and a home where she would be loved.
But Lucy is being followed. The past has destroyed any chance of normal she has had, and now the secrets sheโs hiding will swallow her whole and take away the future she always dreamed of.
Firekeeperโs Daughter continues to be one of my favourite YA novels, and I am excited to have something new from Angeline Boulley.

Alien meets Midsommar in this chilling debut adult novel from award-winning author Andrew Joseph White about identity, survival, and transformation amidst an alien invasion in rural West Virginia.
Festering masses of worms and flies have taken root in dark corners across Appalachia. In exchange for unwavering loyalty and fresh corpses, these hives offer a few struggling humans salvation. A fresh start. Itโs an offer that none refuse.
Crane is grateful. Among his hiveโs followers, Crane has found a chance to transition, to never speak again, to live a life that wonโt destroy him. He even met Levi: a handsome ex-Marine and brutal killer who treats him like a real man, mostly. But when Levi gets Crane pregnantโand the hive demands the childโs birth, no matter the costโCraneโs desperation to make it stop will drive the community that saved him into a devastating spiral that can only end in blood.
You Werenโt Meant to Be Human is a deeply personal horror; a visceral statement about the lives of marginalized people in a hostile world, echoing the works of Stephen Graham Jones and Eric LaRocca.
I know that Andrew Joseph White is a beloved YA author, so I am excited to see that this is his adult debut. This sounds like a powerful and eerie book and it is definitely one I want to prioritize.
The new novel from the bestselling author ofย If We Were Villainsย andย Graveyard Shiftโa vivid and immersive tale of one womanโs reckless mission to make sense of the events that shattered her childhood, and made her who she is
Summer, 1989: ten-year-old Suzanne is drawn like a magnet to her fatherโs forbidden world of electric guitars and tricked-out cars. When her mother remarries, she jumps at the chance to tag along on the concert tour that just might be Gil and the Killsโ wild ride to glory. But fame has sharper fangs than anybody realized, and as the band blazes up the charts, internal power struggles set Gil and his group on a collision course destined for a bloody reckoningโone shrouded in mystery and lore for decades to come.
The only witness to a desperate act of violence, Suzanne spends the next twenty-nine years trying to disappear. She trades the music and mayhem of her youth for the quiet of the suburbs and the company of her mild-mannered husband Rob. But when her fatherโs sudden death resurrects the troubled past she tried so hard to bury, she leaves it all behind and hits the road in search of answers. Hitching her fate and Gilโs beloved car to two vagabonds who call an old Airstream trailer home, she finds everything she thought sheโd lost forever: desire, adventure, and the woman she once wanted to be. But Rob refuses to let her go. Determined to bring her back where she belongs, he chases her across the countryโand drives her to a desperation all her own.
Drenched in knock-down drag-out rock and roll,ย Hot Waxย is a raucous, breakneck ride to hell and backโwhere getting lost might be the only way to find yourself and save your soul.
So excited that we are getting another full length novel from M.L. Rio! It is also no secret that I love any novel that involves music in some way, so this sounds right up my alley.
A woman must confront the demons of her past when she attempts to fix up her childhood home in this devilishly clever take on the haunted house novel from theย USA Todayย bestselling author.
Clio Louise Barnes leads a picture-perfect life as a stylist and influencer, but beneath the glossy veneer she harbors a not-so glamorous secret: she grew up in a haunted house. Well, not haunted. Possessed. After Clioโs parentโs messy divorce, her mother, Alex, moved Clio and her sisters into a house occupied by a demon. Or so Alex claimed. Thatโs not what Clioโs sisters remember or what the courts determined when they stripped Alex of custody after she went off the deep end. But Alex was insistent; she even wrote a book about her experience in the house.
After Alexโs sudden death, the supposedly possessed house passes to Clio and her sisters. Where her sisters see childhood trauma, Clio sees an opportunity for house flipping content. Only, as the home makeover process begins, Clio discovers there might be some truth to her motherโs claims. As memories resurface and Clio finally reads her motherโs book, the presence in the house becomes more real, and more sinister, revealing ugly truths that threaten to shake Clioโs beautiful life to its very foundation.
I jumped on the Rachel Harrison train last year and understand the hype! I particularly love what she does with haunted houses, so I am happy we are getting another one from her.
In this sexy and emotional romance from the acclaimed author ofย Out of the Woodsย andย Out on a Limb, a small-town womanโs journey to spread her wings intertwines with the arrival of an adventurous newcomer who brings out the best in her.
Prudence Welch has found solace in her introverted life in Baysville, a charming tourist town in Northern Ontario. But as their temporary arrangement blossoms into something deeper, Prue and Milo discover that getting out of their comfort zones is one thing . . . taking that leap together is something else entirely.
Hannah Bonam-Young wrote one of my favourite romances of the year and I want to eventually make my way through her entire backlist. I will be starting with this one because not only does it scream fall, it is also set in Northern Ontario, which happens to be where I am from.
In the charming town of Fableview, every day is Halloween. Get ready toย fallย under the spell of this bewitching sapphic romance, perfect for fans ofย Gilmore Girlsย andย Wicked!

In order to be initiated, she has to choose a mortal ally to act as her โprotector.โ But having moved around so much, Anya is completely friendless. But with Anyaโs magical powers and Darcyโs future independence on the line, the last thing they need is the added complication of pesky feelings . . .
How adorable does this look? I am so excited that we are getting so many fall/Halloween themed romances this year! We need to sapphic witchy romances and I cannot wait to read this one.
Eighteen-year-old Mirabella โMiraโ Owens grew up in Timber Plains, Kansas hearing all about the local legendโthat werewolves had, many years ago, traveled to their small Midwest town to protect humans from the growing threat of a vampire enclave. Just a story of course, a fairy tale, one Mira had stopped believing in when she was youngโjust like she stopped believing in the idea of her mom returning, after she up and left without a trace when she was only thirteen.
Mira is grown up now, starting freshman year at the nearby Lakeland University. College feels normal, exactly the thing sheโs been craving mostโฆ except for one particular classmate: Julian Santos, a mysterious boy with long hair, golden eyes, and a coldness that seems directed exclusively at Mira for reasons she canโt understand and he wonโt explain.
When Mira receives an unaddressed letter from her mother, sheโs told the world isnโt as it seems. She suspects her mom might be telling the truth when she stumbles across strange animal tracks on a hiking trail, and when sheโs miraculously saved from a twenty foot drop by the one and only, Julian Santos.
The problem? Julian would have had to jump the length of the cliff to catch her, making him incredibly fast and strong beyond belief. When she confronts him about this, he denies everything.
But when a Blood Moon rises, Mira soon finds herself caught in the middle of an ancient, magical war, with Julian on the other side of the line. She discovers thereโs much more truth to the old town legends than she could ever have anticipatedโand her familyโs historic role in it will change her world forever.
BLOOD MOON is a dark and thrilling, intensely romantic ride, a fresh take on a werewolf love story for a new generation of paranormal romance readers, and is the first book in a series. It is set against a high-stakes paranormal backdropโa world ripe with secret identities, rich supernatural lore, and a forbidden romanceโฆ that comes with a deadly bite.
I have read something by Britney S. Lewis in the past and thought it was beautifully written and cannot wait for a vampire/werewolf story from her. I am admittedly not the biggest fan of werewolves but I already know she can tell an amazing story so I am up for trying this one.

In this paranormal spicy age gap romance, a successful horror author whose novel is being adapted into a movie clashes with the actor cast as the male lead, all in a cozy mansion filled with ghosts, from the author ofย Best Hex Ever
Rosemary Shawโs ability to see the dead has never scared her. In fact, itโs secretly inspired most of her horror novels. Now at twenty-nine, Rosemary is an acclaimed author, and her most successful book is about to be a blockbuster movie. The film set is in a beautiful manor house in the English countryside, and itโs no surprise there are ghosts hanging around. But ghosts are something Rosemary can handle; sheโs not so sure how to deal with her infuriatingly handsome leading man, who is all wrong for the role.
Ellis Finch is a longtime Hollywood heartthrob with a secret of his own. Heโs tired of playing the action movie hero and would much rather be gardening with his sweet dog, Fig. Frankly, heโs getting too old to maintain the industryโs standards of what a man should look like. Starring in a historical horror movie will be perfect for his new image, until he finds out that the author tried to get him kicked off the project, but Ellis wonโt go down without a fight.
Amidst filming the movie and the chemistry-filled feuding between Rosemary and Ellis, Hallowvale manor comes alive, literally. Trying to balance the mayhem of her writing deadlines, an adorable ghostly dog, and a pair of Regency-era women who are definitely nothing more than friends, Rosemary is at risk of telling Ellis her secret, or worseโfalling for him.
There is a ghost dog! That is all I need! But this also looks so stinking adorable and I love the idea of a cozy fantasy/romance with ghosts.
An amateur online sleuth must enlist the help of a jaded PI to clear her name while taking down a shady tech start-up in this exhilarating romantic caper.
Famed Reddit detective Fiona Addai is great at solving problemsโonline, that is. Cold cases, reality TV scandals, everyone calls on @Princess_PI. Itโs her way of escaping her strict religious life at home and the memory of her brilliant brotherโs sudden death. But when the sheltered sleuth tries to apply her inquisitive skills to real life, her plan to reclaim her late brotherโs invention from the ruthless corporation that stole it goes disastrously wrong. Now, instead of getting justice, Fiona finds herself accused of murder.
Maurice Bennett is no stranger to insomnia. These days, heโs not losing sleep over the cases heโs solvingโbut running from the one heย couldnโt. Instead, heโs been settling for small-time scandals that donโt stir up the guilt heโs buried. But when he spots Fiona Addai at the center of a murder investigation, something clicks. And for the first time in a long while, Maurice feels that old spark of intrigue.
However, Fiona is not the helpless damsel she appears to be. Sure, she needs Mauriceโs help to clear her name, but sheโs got conditions of her own: she wants a crash course in real-world detective work. Maurice isnโt exactly thrilled. With every late-night stakeout and tension-filled interrogation, their partnership starts to feel a little too close for comfort. To bring the real killer to light, theyโll need to trust each other and that might be the most dangerous gamble of all.
I am slowly dipping my toes into the genre of romantic suspense and I am not sure how I feel about it quite yet but this sounds like it has potential!
After the deaths of his parents, a witch returns to his spooky family manor and joins forces with his former crush when his parentsโ spirits warn them of a sinister threat in this witty and lyrically unique rom-com in the vein of The Crescent Moon Tearoom and The Ex Hex.
Azrael Ashmedai Hart must be cursed. Heโs a witch twice named for the devil. Heโs making his way back to his family manor in Hallowcross after a failed screenwriting career. Heโs adopted a cat heโs allergic to, and if all of that is not enough, heโs also forced to come face-to-face with his childhood best friend and former crush.
Victoria Starnberger, the bubbly girl-next-door Az lost touch with after an awkward incident in college, has just been disowned by her parents for quitting business school and buying Azraelโs late parentsโ Hopelessly Teavoted tea shop against their wishes. Being cut off financially is one thing. But, now Vickie also owes a lesser devil for the souls her parents promised him in exchange for her gift to summon the dead by touching something they treasured in life, destroying the object in the process.
When spirits all over town, including Azโs parents, keep warning her about a sinister threat, Vickie and Az are forced to combine their powers to save the Hallowcross. But to do so, they must prevent her magic from immolating him after Vickieโs devil places a curse on them to keep them from touching until she repays her debt. As they race against the clock to find clever ways around their curse, they find it increasingly harder to deny that theyโve been hopelessly devoted to each other all along.
I have an eARC of this that I hope to get to soon because it sounds really cute and has me written all over it!
In this poignant, heartfelt novella from theย New York Timesย bestselling author ofย Spinning Silverย and the Scholomance Trilogy, a young witch who has inadvertently cursed her brother to live a life without love must find a way to undo her spell.
Celia discovered her talent for magic on the day her beloved oldest brother Argent left home. Furious at him for abandoning her in a war-torn land, she lashed out, not realizing her childish, angry words would suddenly become imbued with the power of prophecy, dooming him to a life without love.
While Argent wanders the world, forced to seek only fame and glory instead of the love and belonging he truly desires, Celia attempts to undo the curse she placed on him. Yet even as she grows from a girl to a woman, she cannot find the solutionโuntil she learns the truth about the centuries-old war between her own people and the summerlings, the immortal beings who hold a relentless grudge against their mortal neighbors.
Now, with the aid of her unwanted middle brother, Celia may be able to both undo her eldest brotherโs curse and heal the lands so long torn apart by the Summer War.
I have been wanting to try more from Naomi Novik and maybe a novella is a good idea. The fact that the main character seems to be a witch of some kind is a bonus.
Welcome to the Island of Anchorโs Mercy.

Take a deep breathโฆ
Told as a kaleidoscopic drama between past and present, narration and interview, text and pictures, The Dead of Summer is a story within a scavenger hunt for truths so dangerous they will make your skin crawl and your lungs ache for air. Get ready to scream!
I am hoping to read this the second it comes out because I have heard incredible things about this author in general and this one is really calling to me. I am so intrigued by the mixed media elements. Also, this has to be one of the coolest preorder campaigns I have seen!
With an expert hand, Rachel Louise Adamsโs debutย No Rest for the Wickedย reads like an edge of your seat, heart-pounding scary movie.
In one Halloween obsessed Midwestern town, everyoneโs on red alert after a local politician goes missing. Little do they know itโs only the beginning.
Itโs been close to twenty years since forensic pathologist Dolores Hawthorne left her hometown of Little Horton, Wisconsin. The town is famous for its Halloween celebrations, but also its history of violent deaths linked to the holiday. To Dolores, itโs the place she fled, family, bad memories, and all. Until the FBI calls to tell her that her fatherโthe former mayor turned US Senatorโis missing under mysterious circumstances.
Some people count to ten to wake up from a nightmare. Dolores always counts the bones of her head sphenoid, frontal, lacrimal. But no matter how many times she counts them, it doesnโt change the fact that her father is missing, that his final words of warning to her were to trust no one, and that now, the rest of her family is giving Dolores a chilling welcome. With Halloween fast approaching, Dolores must face the past she left behind before itโs too late.
There seems to be a lot of books set in Halloween-obsessed towns and I am loving it! There is something nostalgic about this cover and I am hoping I get the same feeling from the story itself.

A pair of Gothic novelists trade rivalry for love in this swoony, steamy, sapphic Regency byย USA Todayย bestselling author Alexandra Vasti.
Celebrated authoress Lady Georgiana Cleeve has achieved fame and fortune. Unfortunately, sheโs also acquired an the enigmatic Lady Darling, whose spine-tingling plots appear to be pulled straight from Georgianaโs own manuscripts. Whatโs a stubborn, steely writer to do? Unmask her rival, of course.
But unmasking doesnโt go according to planโbecause Lady Darling is actually Cat Lacey, the butlerโs daughter and object of Georgianaโs very secret, very embarrassing teenage infatuation.
Cat Lacey has spent a decade clawing her family out of poverty. The last thing she needs is to be distracted by the stunning(ly pretentious) Lady Georgiana Cleeve. But Cat canโt seem to escape her infuriatingly beautiful rivalโincluding at the eerie manor where they both plan to set their next books. The plot unexpectedly thickens, however, when the novelists find themselves trapped in the manor together. In between ghostly moans and spectral staff, Cat and Georgiana come face-to-face with real the scorching passion thatโs been haunting their rivalry all along.
This is my current read and it so sweet and I love the angst. It is my first book from Alexandra Vasti, so I will have to go back and read her backlist at some point.

For Grey is no ordinary magical well, but heir to the lost island of Locke โ the root of all power. If she dies, all magic dies with her.
The Second Death of Lockeย is a devastatingly romantic epic fantasy and about the undying bond between a knight and their mage, perfect for fans ofย Gideon the Ninthย andย The Six Deaths of the Saint.

A gothic feminist body horror in two timelines revolving around three Anatomical Venusesโultrarealistic wax figures of womenโthat come to life at night to murder men who have wronged them
Seoul, present day.ย Antiques dealer Alysโs task is nearly complete. She has at last secured Elizabeth, the third and final Anatomical Venus. Crafted in eighteenth-century London and modeled after real-life sex workers to entice male medical students, these eerie wax figures, known as slashed beauties, carry unsavory lore. Legend has it that the figures are bewitched, and come to life at night to murder men who have wronged them. Now Alys embarks for England, where she knows what she must sever her cursed connection to the Venuses once and for all.
London, 1763.ย Abandoned and penniless in Covent Garden, wide-eyed Eleanor and another young woman, Emily, are taken under the wing of beautiful and beguiling Elizabeth, one of the cityโs most highly desired courtesans among the rich and powerful. But as Eleanor is seduced deeper into a web of money, materialism, and men, it seems that Elizabeth may not be the savior she appears to be.
As the timelines begin to intersect, it becomes clear that the womenโs stories are linked in deeper, darker ways than it initially seems. And that the only method for Alys to end the witchcraft that binds her legacy is to gather all three models in one place and destroy them.
However, these haunted, murderous dolls might not be ready to burn.
There is something about haunted dolls that intrigues me and I cannot explain it. I got chills just from reading the synopsis!

Troublesome tourists donโt check out of Carnage. They compost beneath Harperโs award-winning flowerbeds. But Nolan Rhodes isnโt your average tourist. Devilishly handsome, disarmingly charming, and skilled with a blade, Nolan is relentless in the pursuit of revenge. On every anniversary of the hit-and-run accident that fractured his life, Nolan slays another target. And heโs saved the best for last: the undeniably beautiful Harper Starling.
The problem? Harper isnโt the monster he expected. And she wonโt go down without a fight. When an amateur true crime investigator comes to Cape Carnage on the trail of a long-lost serial killer, Harper and Nolan strike an uneasy truce. If Nolan helps Harper protect her town, sheโll keep quiet about his hunting habits . . . for now. But their alliance soon spirals into obsession, one that threatens to shatter every secret in Carnageโincluding their fragile love.
Tourist Season is a darkly funny, slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance where destruction and desire are balanced on the edge of a bladeโand where love is the most dangerous battleground of all.
This sounds like it is going to be quirky and fun and exactly what this author is known for!

Witch of the Wolvesย is the first book in this Victorian romantasy series, featuring an intense and sexy romance and a world on the brink of change.
I have an eARC of this one and I like the idea of our main character being part wolf and part witch- that is something new for me!
The nextย installmentย in theย New York Timesย bestselling Sworn Soldier series, featuring Alex Easton investigating the dark, mysterious depths of a coal mine in America
Alex Easton does not want to visit America.

I love this series and Alex as a character and I am relieved that we are getting another book- I wasnโt sure if we were!
Warring clans. Burning hearts. Deadly fate.
The clans of the fens enjoy a tenuous peace, and it is all thanks to Agnir, ward and hostage. For as long as she can remember she has lived among the enemy, learning their ways, growing strong alongside their children. When a burgeoning love for the chieftainโs daughter lures them both to a hidden spring, a magic awakens in them that could bind the clans under one banner at lastโor destroy any hope of peace. By working their intentions into leather, they can weave misfortune for their enemiesโฆ just like the Fateโs Bane that haunts the legends of the clans.
Ambitions grow in their fathersโ hearts, grudges threaten a return to violence, and greedy enemies wait outside the borders, seeking a foothold to claim the fens for themselves. And though their Makings may save their families, the legend that gave them this power always exacts its price.
I love C.L. Clarkโs writing and I have read some incredible reviews for this one already!
So what if Sadie hears talking dead animals and a strange, comforting male voice in her head? The therapist insists these are just symptoms of PTSD. It makes sense considering that she hid under the bed and watched as her best friends were slaughtered.
But the murders were seventeen years ago, back when her name was Sabrina. Now, sheโs Sadie: a perfectly normal 29-year-old. She works as a physical therapist assistant and lifts weights with her boyfriend, Lucas, whoโs the sweetest, most considerate manโas long as heโs not angry. But when Lucas spontaneously agrees to join a couples trip to a cabin in the woods, the visions get worse, a strange figure stalks her during the night, and that male voice in Sadieโs head keeps calling, asking her to do things sheโs never fathomed.
Sadieโs not sure if itโs her paranoia or something else entirely . . . But she is sure of one thingโthis time, sheโs not going to sit idly by as everything starts to unravel.
I cannot lie, this cover is what caught my eye at first! That said, this does sound super creepy and I need to know what happens, so I will be reading it!
Home is where the heart isโand this one is haunted.
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Rebel Blue Ranch series returns with a brand-new story, featuring a small-town upholsterer in need of a fresh start, a photographer whose life has come to a screeching halt . . . and the supernatural forces that bring them together.
Collins Cartwright does not want to go home. Sweetwater Peak, Wyoming, was supposed to be in her rearview mirror, but when she finds out a developer is trying to buy her parentsโ antique shop out from under them, she doesnโt have a choiceโat least, thatโs what she tells her family. They donโt need to know sheโs lost her job and is out of money. Or that the ghosts that have always been her companions have recently gone silent.
But just because sheโs returned home doesnโt mean she has to stay with her parents or crash on her twin sisterโs couch. Lucky for her, the new-to-town upholsterer has a room for rent above his store. Unluckily, it is absolutely crawling with more ghosts who are freezing her out. And Collins hates being ignored.
Brady Cooper is absolutely and totally fine. Seriously, thereโs no secret reason why he decided to uproot his life and suddenly move to Sweetwater Peak. He just needed a change of pace. At least, thatโs what he tells himself. And everyone else.
When he agrees to let the elusive Collins Cartwright stay in his spare room, he doesnโt know that sheโs absolutely bonkersโconstantly talking to herself and having conversations with no oneโor that she looked like that. But as they begin to get closer, the lines between them start to blur, leaving both of themโand the ghosts that have been pushing them togetherโwondering whether or not their temporary arrangement could be something more permanent.
I finally read Done and Dusted and it was my first cowboy romance and I am starting to understand the hype; however, this sounds more like my thing!
From theย New York Timesย bestselling author ofย Writers & Loversย comes a magnificent and intimate new novel of desire, friendship, loss, and the lasting impact of first love
You knew Iโd write a book about you someday.
Our narrator understands good love storiesโtheir secrets and subtext, their highs and their free falls. But her greatest love story, the one she lived, never followed the simple rules.
In the fall of her senior year of college, she meets two star students from her 17th-Century Lit class: Sam and Yash. Best friends living off-campus in the elegant house of a professor on sabbatical, the boys invite her into their intoxicating world of academic fervor, rapid-fire banter and raucous card games. They nickname her Jordan, and she quickly discovers the pleasures of friendship, love and her own intellectual ambition. Youthful passion is unpredictable though, and she soon finds herself at the center of a charged and intricate triangle. As graduation comes and goes, choices made will alter these three lives forever.
Decades later, Jordan is living the life she dreamed of, and the vulnerable days of her youth seem comfortably behind her. But when a surprise visit and unexpected news brings the past crashing into the present, Jordan returns to a world she left behind and is forced to confront the decisions and deceptions of her younger self.
Written with the superb wit and emotional sensitivity fans and critics of Lily King have come to adore, Heart the Lover is a deeply moving story that celebrates love, friendship, and the transformative nature of forgiveness. Wise, unforgettable, and with a delightful connective thread to Writers & Lovers, this is King at her very best, affirming her as a masterful chronicler of the human experience and one of the finest novelists at work today.
I have heard so many amazing things about Lily King in general and I am definitely intrigued by the set up of this one.

Something strange is happening at Wisteria Gardens, the manor that Blythe and Aris call home. With a new mystery to solve, Signa, Death, Blythe, and Fate must uncover what happened to Wisteriaโs ghostly inhabitants and help the spirits move onโฆbefore itโs too late.
This is a novella within the Belladonna series and I loved that first book, so I definitely need to finish the series so that I can read this in December for the holiday season!
