February 2024 Book Releases

February might just be the biggest release month of the year! I am overwhelmed by how many incredible books are coming out this month, on February 13th in particular!

Preorder: Bookmark and sticker plus a giveaway for a book box

I saw Zoraida Cordova and Pride and Prejudice in space and instantly added Relit to my TBR! There are so many incredible anthologies out there that appeal to me that I keep neglecting and I am determined to not let that happen in this case,

Seven Days in June was one of the best romances I read last year and I am so thrilled we are getting a new romance from Tia Williams. I have heard A Love Song for Ricki Wilde is set in the same world and that it is also historical fiction. The reviews are vague and that has me super intrigued!

I already know that I am going to absolutely fall in love with Ana! She sounds like my kind of character! I have never read anything by Rover Jackson Bennett but I love the sound of The Tainted Cup. I will always be drawn to mysteries that have speculative elements!

Preorder: Page overlays (International)

I know that the Celestial Kingdom wasn’t for everyone but I personally loved it! What I was drawn to the most was the world, so I am excited to get more of that in Tales of the Celestial Kingdom.

Preorder: Art print, sticker sheet, and a signed bookplate (US and Canada)

I love that This Day Changes Everything takes place over the course of the day! There is something about that trope in a love story that feels so nostalgic to me.

February 13th

Preorder: Double-sided bookmark, signed and personalized edition (US only)

2024 is shaping up the year of Katherine Arden for me (I just marathoned The Winternight Trilogy!) and I cannot complain. I don’t love war stories but it is Katherine Arden so I will definitely be checking out The Warm Hands of Ghosts when it comes out.

Give me all of the books about books! I live for them! The Book of Doors sounds super unique and I think I am going to love both the mystery and the romance.

I didn’t know that I needed a sequel to What Moves the Dead but I will take one! I am so ready to read What Feasts at Night the moment it comes out and will definitely be listening to it on audio since I loved the narrator for book one.

I have an eARC of An Education in Malice and need to get to it before release dates because my friends who have read it have loved it! S.T. Gibson is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.

Preorder: Sticker and bookmark

I am currently reading How You Get the Girl and loving it, of course! Anita Kelly is an auto-buy author for me for a reason! I think they have this amazing way of creating relatable characters and building chemistry between them.

A.G. Slatter is an author who I have been curious about for a long time! The Briar Book of the Dead has both witches and vampires, so I think it is the book that I will get to first!

The cover of Projections is eerie yet beautiful and I have a feeling we will be getting the same tone in the story itself. It definitely sounds like it is taking on some difficult themes but I am intrigued by it.

I am always up for a Jane Austen retelling and the fact that Sex, Lies, and Sensibility is also spicy makes me all the more excited to try it!

The cat on the cover of Dead Things are Closer than they Appear obviously caught my eye but I also love a ragtag crew trying to save the world!

Vampires and a heist? Yes, please!

The cover for My Throat an Open Grave always gets to me! I have had a few people tell me they read the ARC and really enjoyed this so I am excited about it.

Preorder: Art print and signed and personalized copy (International)

Heartless Hunter sounds a lot like Serpent & Dove and I just love the dynamic between a witch and a witch hunter!

I did not read enough foodie romances last year considering how much I love them! Till There Was You looks adorable and now I want pancakes.

I have always been curious about Melissa Albert and The Bad Ones definitely appeals to me! I love a good horror fantasy!

Remedial Magic sounds like the kind of sweet witchy rom-com that seems to always work for me! I cannot get enough of them!

For as much as I love witchy books, I do not read enough witchy horror and I think The Island Witch is going to change that for me. I have a good feeling about this one!

To Cage a God is getting mixed reviews but something about it appeals to me and I still want to try it for myself!

I am about to start my ARC of Where the Dark Stands Still and I cannot get over how much I love this cover. I will update my thoughts on it soon!

  1. I’m really looking forward to The Tainted Cup and The Books of Doors—I’ve already preordered them. Tempest of Tea is another one that’s on my radar, but I hadn’t remembered that it’s due out next month! And Remedial Magic is new-to-me, but going on my TBR right away. It sounds really good!
