Books I Hope Santa Brings This Year

I cannot believe that Christmas is this Sunday! I look forward to seeing everyone’s wishlists every single year!

I read Small Miracles by Olivia Atwater and adored it and now I want to read everything she has ever written! Half a Soul seems to be her most beloved book and even readers who don’t typically love cozy fantasy seem to be raving about this one.

One of my goals for 2023 is to read more of T. Kingfisher’s backlist, and I hope to start with The Raven and the Reindeer because it is wintery!

Ashes of the Sun has been getting a lot of buzz and I have heard that it is a very accessible book and some have said it is gay Star Wars. I am definitely up for that!

I read Malice this summer and it was an experience. I had mixed feelings about the book, but I would love to continue on with the series and get to Valor before I completely forget what happened in Malice.

I would love to find a few SPFBO finalists under the tree, as I do have to read them before the winner is announced. Miss Percy’s Pocket Guide to the Care and Feeding of British Dragons is more of a placeholder here but it is the finalist I am most excited to read!

The following books are all ones I have read and loved and would like to have on my shelves!

I collected all of Tiffany D. Jackson’s books, so I need The Weight of Blood to stay up to date. It has one of my favourites from her!

What Moves the Dead is one of my favourite horror novels and I would like to start growing my T. Kingfisher collection! I

I am loving these YA remixes and What Souls Are Made Of is my favourite so far! I think Tasha Suri is quickly becoming an auto-buy author for me.

Siren Queen is one of my favourite books of the year and it is one that I could see myself recommending on my BookTube channel quite a bit, so it would be nice to have a copy. Plus, the cover is stunning!

I am slowly collecting my favourite romances and that would definitely include Honey and Spice!

  1. Thank you for reminding me to read Siren Queen! I was super intrigued by the monstros and blood-contracts and non-white-male take on early 1900s America, but worried the Grand Old Hollywood aspect was gonna be A Little Much

  2. I’d love to get and read Miss Percy’s Pocket Guide to the Care and Feeding of British Dragons too. I’ve heard such good things about it.
