What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading

I am listening to the audiobook of Whiteout and I am not sure how I feel about it quite yet. It is different from Blackout, which is the first book that this group of authors wrote together, in that it is more of a novel with many POVs than it is a collection of interconnected short stories. One of the main characters is pretty unlikeable so far, but that could change! I love the setting and that everyone is stuck in this snowstorm and it is leading to different connections. It is cute!
Just Finished

The Hidden Palace is the sequel to The Golem and the Jinni, which is one of my favourite books of the year, and this had all of the things that I appreciated about the first book but it wasn’t quite as captivating to me. I still really enjoyed it because there is something truly special about Helene Wecker’s writing and you can tell how much she cares about this story and how it is told. It is one of those cases where maybe a sequel wasn’t necessary but I was happy to spend more time with these characters.
Starting Next

Once I finish Whiteout, which will probably happen today, I am officially done with my Once Upon a Readathon TBR! I am in the mood for something wintery, so I think I will pick up Moon of the Crusted Snow next but I should also start Black Sun for book club.

Ooh I heard of Blackout and Whiteout. I’ll have to look into getting them and reading them. I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. Thank you for sharing your books with us! 😊
They are really fun books! Now is the perfect time to read Whiteout!
I’m so down to! I’m ordering it right now as we speak 😃
Hope you love Black Sun!
Ooh, interesting note about Whiteout because I automatically assumed it was the same style/format as Blackout, which I loved! I hope it gets better for you though (and thanks for the heads up, lol)! I hope you enjoy Black Sun. That one is still on my TBR as well but I’ve heard so many great things so I’m looking forward to getting to it (one day, eventually, lol). Happy reading, Kristin!
