Caro did this tag and I knew I had to do it too! I love book covers and Halloween, so this is too perfect. I am going to attempt to use only books that I have read! The tag was originally created by Kit @ Metaphors and Moonlight.

💀 Skull/Skeleton/Bones 💀

I have read more books with bones on the cover than I realized, but the cover of Summer Sons is one of my favourites. There is something so hauntingly beautiful about it!

🎃 Pumpkin 🎃

I am actually currently listening to Death Overdue and having a good time with it! I love that the balloons on the cover are pumpkins. I honestly think that cozy mysteries have the cutest covers!

Could there be a more perfect cover than the one for The Weight of Blood?

The cover of Sundial is one that has really grown on me! The snake wrapping itself around the skull is so effective!

🔮 Something Witchy 🔮

A charming cover for a delightful book! I simply adore The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and the cover is adorably witchy and perfect.

✋🏻 Severed Body Part ✋🏻

I know the hands on the cover of The Death of Jane Lawrence aren’t technically severed but I think it works! The fact that the hands are being sewn together gets to me!

🌕 Full Moon 🌕

Everything about the cover of Daughter of the Moon Goddess is stunning, including the full moon.

☠️ Cemetery ☠️

I was struggling with this one until I remembered The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy. This is one of my favourite covers of the year!

🏠 Haunted house 🏠

I could have used Just Like Home for the blood prompt as well, but I thought that this was an interesting take on a haunted house.

👻 Ghost 👻

Deep in Providence isn’t your typical ghost cover and I think that what they did with it is super effective. It is so sombre and haunting.

👹 Classic Monster (vampire, werewolf, mummy, etc.) 👹

The vampire on the cover of The Lost Girls is so classic and campy, which perfectly matches the story itself.

I am cheating because I haven’t read Candy Coated Murder, but it is on my TBR. It was just too perfect for this prompt, so I couldn’t resist.

I couldn’t find anything that really worked for this one, so I settled on Follow Me to Ground!
