Stacking the Shelves (#14)

Stacking The Shelves (hosted by Reading Reality) is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

I was approved for five books from Netgalley recently! I attended a virtual event with HarperCollins Canada and Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone were the speakers and I loved their dynamic! I hope that this will translate into A Merry Little Meet Cute. The premise sounds amazing- the main character is an adult film star who somehow finds herself cast in a Hallmark-like Christmas movie. How fun!

I cannot believe that 2023 ARCs are already here! Huge thank you to Forever for sending me an eARC of Behind the Scenes. The cover alone sold me on this one- look at those pugs!

Another holiday romance! The Holiday Trap is giving me The Holiday vibes and I am here for it!

I have been wanting to read something from Catherine Ryan Howard for ages, so I guess I am starting with Run Time!

My preorder of The Oleander Sword came in and I am so excited about it! The first book, The Jasmine Throne, was one of my favourite books of last year and I cannot wait to see where the story goes from here.

I found Migrations for $3 at a thrift store and thought it was a great find! I have heard amazing things about all of Charlotte McConaghy’s novels.

I bought two books from my favourite independent bookstore. I have already read A Prayer for the Crown-Shy and I gave it five stars, of course! It is fun because this is the bookstore that introduced me to Becky Chambers years ago. The other book I grabbed was The Cat Who Saved Books because it has two things I adore- cats and books!

These two books are from a bookstore in Stratford, Ontario, which is known for its theatre, especially Shakespeare. You may know that I collect special editions of The Great Gatsby, and I have never seen this one before! You know I had to grab something Shakespeare related and this Tales From Shakespeare is absolutely stunning in person!
