Books With a Unit of Time in the Title

Did anyone else struggle with this week’s topic? I like to include books I have read when making a Top Ten Tuesday list, but my options were limited this week. So, I have read the first four books and the last six are on my TBR!

The Midnight Library is a book that I enjoyed at the time, but it has not stayed with me as much as I thought that it would. Time plays a major role in this story, so it is apt that it would end up on a list about units of time.

Working Stiff: Two Year, 262 Bodies, and the Making of a Medical Examiner is a nonfiction book I do not talk about nearly enough! There are a lot of medical examiner memoirs out there, and I have read a few of them, but this one is my favourite.

In Five Years is marketed as a romance, but it is a friendship story. One that had turned me into an emotional mess!

Furious Hours: Murder, Fraud, and the Last Trial of Harper Lee is an interesting nonfiction title following Harper Lee and a criminal case she planned to write a book about but just never did. We get a lot of insight into the case itself, but learning about Lee’s rocky friendship with Truman Capote and the role that she played in researching In Cold Blood was most interesting to me.

Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore has been on my TBR for years! I am a sucker for a book about books, so I don’t know why I have not prioritized it.

Hour of the Witch seems to get mixed reviews on Goodreads, but I am always tempted by witchy books! That cover and title are calling to me.

I know that 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World is a beloved book and one I have a feeling I will adore as well. Elif Shafak’s newest release, The Island of Missing Trees, has been shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction!

I love friendship stories, so The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot really appeals to me!

I know that opinions of My Year of Rest and Relaxation are mixed, but those who love this book absolutely love it!

The Year of the Witching is a book I tell myself I will read but just never do. Again, witches!

  1. I had a really hard time this week, too! I ended up tweaking the theme so I could actually find books. You did a good job!!

      1. I thought it would be easier 😂 I don’t have much of a back catalogue on my Goodreads list to draw from so I always struggle on these sorts of prompts! All good fun though!

  2. I don’t know how I’ll write my post because it’s hard! You did great!

  3. I’m really kicking myself for not thinking that midnight was a unit of time. I could’ve definitely thought of two more books using midnight, The Midnight Library being one of them.

  4. I think Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore was the winner for the book used on the most lists for this topic! 😉 I had a similar experience with Midnight Library not sticking with me as much as I had thought it would.
