I have been approved for four books on Netgalley this week, three of which are audiobooks!
Siren Queen is a monster novel set in Old Hollywood and I am so excited about it! That description says that it is set in a world where immortality is just a casting call away- love that! I have read The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo, and even though I was confused most of the time, I did love the writing. I have a feeling this book is going to be incredible on audio. It comes out on May 10th!
I have preordered this stunning cover of Elektra from Waterstones and it will be here soon, so I was thrilled when I was approved for the audiobook. I have been reading books physically while also listening to the audiobook, and now I can do that with Elektra. I believe the audio is full cast!
I have been curious about T. Kingfisher for a while and Nettle & Bone has been getting a lot of buzz. I love the idea of a fantasy horror! This book comes out on Tuesday, so I doubt I will get to it beforehand, but it is definitely on my immediate TBR.
The Woman in the Library is the one ebook I was approved for, and, honestly, it was the cover and the title that caught my attention. This is a mystery set in the reading room of the Boston Public Library!
Other Words for Home is one of the books for my 12 Challenge and I have plans to read this in one sitting, possibly tonight. So I may have already read this by the time this is posted. It is a middle-grade novel written in verse and I have heard so many beautiful things about it. I have not read a book written in verse yet this year, which is odd for me!
I absolutely adore Anna-Marie McLemore and I have plans to eventually read their entire backlist. Lake Lore is their newest release and it sounds pretty epic. I love the idea of there being a magical world under a lake!
Heather O’Neill is one of my favourite authors and When We Lost Our Heads is her 2022 release! I have not heard too much about it, but it is Heather O’Neill and I will read anything that she writes.
