Stacking the Shelves (#7)

Stacking The Shelves (hosted by Reading Reality) is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

I was sent/approved for three books from publishers this week! I received an ALC of Not Good for Maidens from Netgalley and I am currently listening to it. It is a retelling of Goblin Market!

Aces Wild is a YA heist novel and is available as a “read now” option on Netgalley. So grab it now while you can!

I received a physical ARC of Insomnia from HarperCollins Canada. I have never read anything by Sarah Pinborough, so I am curious to see what I think. The cover is definitely creepy!

I love Libro.fm’s influencer program, and I chose three audiobooks this month! Trailed: One Woman’s Quest to Solve the Shenandoah Murders is true crime. I listened to the first few chapters of this and I am definitely intrigued. It is not a case I know anything about!

I have not read A Visit From the Goon Squad, but I have been told that it is not necessary in order to enjoy The Candy House. This book has been everywhere lately!

I was thrilled to see that I Kissed Shara Wheeler was one of the audiobooks this month! Admittedly, I have only read One Last Stop from Casey McQuiston and I didn’t love it, but I have a good feeling about this one.

I have heard incredible things about The Wolf Den and it seems like something I will love. I am so excited to finally have a copy!

I love reading cozy mysteries this time of year and the cover of Daisies for Innocence is just too adorable! I couldn’t resist!

The Voyage of the Basilisk is the third book in the Memoirs of Lady Trent series, which I am co-hosting a read-a-long for!

How stunning is this Fairyloot edition of The Atlas Six!? Those edges!!

  1. Wow, that is a gorgeous edition of TAS from FL! I think I might like it even more than the Illumicrate one! 👀 I’ve also heard interesting things about Wolf Den so I can’t wait to see your thoughts on it. And I love all of Marie Brennan’s book covers in this series. It’s always so eye-catching. I hope you enjoy all these books 😃

    1. I saw photos of the Illumicrate edition and it is also gorgeous! I love how different they are. I do love the aesthetic of the Fairyloot one more though!

I love the way Marie Brennan’s books look as well! Even their spines look so satisfying on my shelf.

  2. I can’t wait to see what you think of I Kissed Shara Wheeler! I just finished it and enjoyed it more than I thought I would – I loved it has a mystery aspect to it too of finding Shara! I honestly never thought I’d read a Casey McQuiston book again because I absolutely HATED Red White and Royal Blue, but this one was fun and I hope you enjoy it!

      1. I didn’t realize that either going into it but Shara leaves notes and they have to put the pieces together to find her! It was a fun unexpected aspect!
