Books With Adjectives in the Title

I have never given much thought to books with adjectives in the title, so this was fun! All the books in this post are ones I have read!

Certain Dark Things is a fun and unique vampire story. It is also a quick read and I love Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s writing!

White Smoke is Tiffany D. Jackson’s first horror novel. It gets mixed reviews and I certainly understand them, but I enjoyed it! I am always captivated by Tiffany D. Jackson’s stories.

Beautiful World, Where Are You? is the one book on this list that I was disappointed by. I enjoyed both Normal People and Conversations With Friends, but I did not relate to Sally Rooney’s newest release, and I think being able to connect to her work makes them interesting.

The Good Sister is a mystery that took me by surprise. I became so attached to one of the characters!

A Dark and Hollow Star is one of the only fae stories I have enjoyed! I am so looking forward to the sequel, A Cruel and Fated Light, which is another title with adjectives!

Somewhere Between Bitter and Sweet is an underrated YA contemporary romance with a lot of depth!

The Broken Girls is my favourite book by my favourite mystery author!

Plain Bad Heroines is one of my top five books of all time. It is the perfect title as well!

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing took me by complete surprise! I loved this quirky light SciFi!

A Great and Terrible Beauty is a book I read years ago, but it has stayed with me. I need to continue with the series!

  1. Wow, A Great And Terrible Beauty is a blast from the past for me. At this point I’ve forgotten what it’s about, but I remember being pretty enamored with it at the time. Maybe it’s time for a re-read! And a perfect selection for this list 🙂

  2. Fun list — and I love that we both included Plain Bad Heroines! I also remember loving A Great and Terrible Beauty. I ended up doing the audiobooks for the whole trilogy. couldn’t tell you much about the plot at this point, but I know I was very caught up in it all!
