Stacking the Shelves (#5)

Stacking The Shelves (hosted by Reading Reality) is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

This week, I bought four books using a gift card! Two are physical copies of books I have already read and loved and needed on my shelves and the other two are books I hope to get to in the next couple of months.

Legends & Lattes was an absolute delight and I fell in love with these characters. It also has one of my favourite covers ever, so I couldn’t resist buying a copy. I read an eARC of One Italian Summer and loved it more than I ever expected to and the cover is striking in person!

Hook, Line, and Sinker is the sequel to It Happened One Summer, which was one of my favourite romances of last year. I cannot wait to read HNnah and Fox’s love story! I loved Jade City, even though it crushed me, and have had Jade War sitting on my shelves for about a year now. I figured buying the last book, Jade Legacy, might motivate me to finish reading the trilogy!

I was approved for one eARC this week, and it is an exciting one! I have read only one book from Anne Tyler, but I loved her writing and am curious about all of her work. French Braid comes out on Tuesday and it follows a family throughout a number of decades, which is something I often love in fiction.

I downloaded two audiobooks from Scribd this week! On a Night Like This is a romance and is part of my 12 Challenge. It is a Cinderella retelling and looks adorable! I have been reading some heavier books lately, so I think I will need something like this soon.

The audiobook for In My Dreams I Hold Knife was finally released and I am so excited about it! This was an extremely popular book last year, but I prefer to listen to thrillers on audio, so I have been waiting for this moment.

  1. Nice haul, Kristin! You have a few books on here that I’ve read, or want to read! I hope you enjoy them all!
