Help Me With a Challenge for 2022!

You have probably seen this challenge going around social media. It is called the 12 Challenge, and the goal is to read 12 books recommended by 12 friends within 12 months. The challenge was originally created by shadowbooker on Instagram. I already received three recommendations- Other Words For Home by Jasmine Warga, Under the Rainbow by Celia Laskey, and Rules for Dating a Bookshop Owner, so I am looking for nine more.

I am very much open to all genres, so recommend your favourites, anything you think I may love, or something you just want my opinion on! I will be posting updates as I make my way through the books. Thank you in advance friends!

  1. Ohh, love seeing this one spread around the internet! Also trying to get people to give me recs on Twitter… so far I got 4. XD As for recommendations: The Girl from the Sea by Molly Ostertag, The Last Time I lied by Riley Sager, Forget me Not by Alix Garin. 🙂

      1. Thank you! That would be great~

That is great to hear, it is such a wonderful book with a sweet story. You’re welcome!! Enjoy~

  2. Good luck with this! I would recommend The Bone Charmer by Breeana Shields or Beneath the Haunting Sea by Joanna Ruth Meyer

  3. How fun! I might have to partake in this challenge, too!! I’m recommending The Whisper Man or The Last Thing He Told Me.

      1. It was a really quick read for me! I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did!

  4. I feel like I’m pushing my same recs on you! 😂 So…….How about an inspirational woman of the French resistance movement? Invisible Woman by Erika Robuck.

  5. Can I recommend something I know you’ve already got on your list to read? Firekeeper’s Daughter 😂 so, so, so good! If not, my recent fave as been Hench by: Natalie Zina Walschots again, so, so good!

      1. I’m just here to back up that recommendation for Hench – absolutely one of my favourite books of the last few months

  6. Oh wow, what an interesting challenge. I’ll just join in and say A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie. It’s a fantasy novel that stood out to me in 2021. Wishing you all the best!

  7. I’m reading Not the Witch You Wed by April Asher and I think you might like that. Or Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan, I loved that one.

  8. You could try Every Sky a Grave by Jay Posey – a really interesting sci-fi/fantasy with clever use of language
