Blogmas (Day Fourteen) | My Winter TBR

My winter TBR is going to be a mix of eARCS I have, new releases, and books I meant to read in 2021. One of my goals for 2022 is to be better at reading the books that I put on these seasonal TBRs, so we will check back in the spring to see how I did!

I have an eARC of Reckless Girls, and even though the cover screams summer, I could go for a fun thriller. It is set in Hawaii and appears to be a locked-room mystery. I am getting The White Lotus vibes from this one, which I am here for!

I also have an eARC for Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead, which is the sequel to Finlay Donovan is Killing It, which was such a fun and quirky mystery. I cannot wait to see what Finlay Donovan gets up to in the sequel!

The Apollo Murders is my highest priority. I also just realized that the person who narrated Project Hail Mary also narrates this book, which means that I need to download the audiobook. I just love Chris Hadfield!

Firekeeper’s Daughter is the book I am maddest at myself for not reading in 2021. I have a feeling it is going to be a new favourite!

I am in the middle of The Keeper of Night and am really enjoying it. I want to pick it up again and finish it at the beginning of January. I cannot wait to see where this story is going!

Lore Olympus is the one book I am hoping to find under the tree on Christmas morning, and I would love to read it between Christmas and New Year’s!

A Certain Appeal is a Pride and Prejudice retelling set at a burlesque club in Manhatten! How good does that sound!? There is something about it that screams New Year’s to me, so a perfect January read!

I have a physical ARC of The Christie Affair and it is another book whose cover screams New Year’s! It follows Agatha Christie and the 11 days that Agatha Christie disappeared. I am so intrigued!

Daughter of the Moon Goddess sounds so beautiful and is described as a romantic and enchanting duology, which sounds like something I will love!

I want to read more nonfiction in 2022, and Admission: A Memoir of Surviving Boarding School is high on my list. The author reflects on her experience as a black student at a boarding school with mostly white students and her experiences as an adult working as a diversity recruiter at that same school.
