WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I hoped to be further into The Night Watchman at this point but I have been feeling a little slumpy, which has nothing to do with the book itself. I am really enjoying it when I pick it up, it’s just that I have been distracted by other things. The writing is so beautiful so far, so I am hoping to sit down with it for a couple hours over the next few days and finish it.
I just started the audiobook for The Inheritance of Orquidea Divina this morning so I cannot say much about it yet, but I really love the narration already! There is something whimsical about it right from the start. I need the witchy vibes!
I had an ALC of Summer Sons thanks to Netgalley and, even though it was a book I was interested in, I really had no idea what to expect! There was this tension throughout the entire novel and I felt it as I was reading. The main character, Andrew, is unlikely at times, but I understood him. He is dealing with the loss of his best friend whose death has been deemed a suicide but he does not believe it. Something happened to Andrew and Edward when they were younger and they were both able to see ghosts. That plays a huge role in the story. I loved that the book was set at Vanderbilt- major dark academia vibes!
I’m in the mood for a thriller and I have been seeing They Never Learn everywhere. It is also dark academia, so if that doesn’t sell you on it I don’t know what will!
