Get to Know Me- Vogue 73 Questions

I have been seeing this “tag” around for awhile now and I thought it was a fun way to get to know me better! I have been blogging for over four years, but I talk so much about books and my reading life, I feel like you know very little else about me. Vogue has a series where they ask celebrities and influential people 73 different questions, so I found these specific questions from Fred and Far. I have only seen a couple of the videos (I will watch anything with Dan Levy!), but they are interesting!

On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you about life right now?

That’s a tough one. It has been a wild year and it has been hard to really get excited about anything. Now that I am double vaccinated, I do feel some excitement, though I know that many others are still waiting for their chance to get vaccinated. I would say I am probably at about a six right now, but things are looking up. I am always happier in the summer and the fall!

Describe yourself in a hashtag?

#toomanybookstoolittletime

If you could do a love scene with anyone, who would it be?

Ah what a question! John Krasinski or Michael B. Jordan, I think!

If your life was a musical, what would the marquee say?

Let’s be honest, my entire day revolves around books at this point, so it would probably say something like, “A Love Letter to Readers”.

What’s one thing people don’t know about you?

I may have mentioned this before, but I have not had a diet coke in almost four years. This is not a big deal for most people, but I was someone who drank at least six cans of diet coke a day for many years- I think since I was twelve or thirteen!

What’s your wakeup ritual?

The first thing I do is feed the cats and then I make myself an iced coffee. I will then get back into bed and read a little bit while I enjoy my coffee. I have started walking up a little bit earlier to get this in and it has been amazing! I will say that I have always been a morning person.

What’s your go to bed ritual?

It is funny because I think I am more loyal to my morning routine than I am to my nighttime one! I am a HUGE bath person, so I normally end my day with a bubble bath (where I read of course!). Don’t you just love how I can turn any post into one about books? Anyways, I have really gotten into skincare over the last few years, so I wash my face, put on my serums and moisturizer, and then I will either read in bed or watch The Office.

What’s your favorite time of day?

I think it would have to be early morning. I love being the first person awake and that time of day is just so peaceful.

Best gift you’ve ever received?

My great-grandfather passed away when I was in my first year of university, and my great-grandma gifted me his Jeep Grand Cherokee. It actually cost me $1! That was my first car and I was the only one of my university roommates to have one, so we all cherished it and have great memories with it.

  1. Those are such random but fun questions! I loved reading your take on them and I ADORED that you mentioned Simply the Best from Schitt’s Creek. Patrick was one of the best additions the show ever made.

  2. Great post, I do feel like I know so much more about you. John Krasinski or Michael B. Jordan, YES! And Baklava is probably my favorite dessert.

  3. This was amazing! I loved reading this! How did I not know that there was a version of Simple the Best by Noah Ried that existed! Gosh, he was amazing on Schitt’s Creek… I loved his sarcastic witty and the way he treated David. I have still to watch season 6 because I don’t want the show to end.
I also love that Avril Lavinge was your style icon as a teen; I feel you on that – I was obsessed with her when she first started out… once she hit that Girlfriend stage I was like uhhh okay I’m out.

      1. I agree! By far my fave couple of the show!

I feel like Girlfriend was for the tween/teen age group, which I fell into but I couldn’t get into it – she came off as really fake, especially after her previous two albums, which I still adore!

  4. This is amazing Kristin! Haha Vogue’s 73 Questions are insanely fun to watch 😀 I enjoyed reading your answers! I’m glad you were able to visit the bookstore recently and pick up some great books — that’s such a satisfying feeling. I also watched Black Widow, and wow…it packed an emotional punch.

  5. Oh I love your answers so much! That hashtag is perfect (and very relatable!), and Line Of Duty is brilliant. Also I completely agree with you on teleportation. If only…😅
