Currently Reading
Technically I am just about to start Ace of Spades, as I finished a different book this morning! Obvious I have no opinions on this book yet, but I am so intrigued by it. I have seen so many people talking about it but still have no idea what it is actually about or what to expect! I saw it on quite a few fellow bloggers’ TTT posts yesterday about one-sitting reads, so that is exciting!
Just Finished
The Jasmine Throne is the book that I finished this morning, and wow! It took me longer than I would have liked to read this one, though that it is of no fault to the book itself. I always forget what a busy month July is for me! I rated The Jasmine Throne fives stars, and I would give it more if I could. Do not be surprised if you see this book on my “best books of the year” list. I will hopefully have a full review with all of my thoughts up on Sunday!
While We Were Dating is the 6th book in The Wedding Date series, and I think it may be my favourite! There is something about Jasmine Guillory’s romances that I find refreshing. I think it is because she makes respect and consent such a huge part of all of her books, and I always appreciate that. Also, I forgot just how steamy her books are!!! I have said this so many times, but I love romances where one or both of the characters are famous. I just think it is so fun! While We Were Dating also has my favourite romance trope- fake dating. There is also important conversations around mental health and therapy. I want to post a full review of this book soon as well!
Starting Next
I have a feeling I will want something lights after reading both The Jasmine Throne and Ace of Spades, so I am excited to finally get to Where the Rhythm Takes You. This is a YA contemporary set on a resort in Tobago and it centers around first love and is a second-chance romance. I have not seen many people talking about this one, so I am curious to see what I think!

I saw your review, so now I’m even more curious to see what I think. I am about 60 pages into it now! I have a buddy read on Instagram for it and so far most have loved it but a few definitely did not.
Buddy reads are great, seeing different opinions on a book! I wanted to like Ace of Spades and SO many people do like it, it just didn’t work for me sadly – but I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
I’ve seen nothing but good things for the jasmine throne, I can’t wait to read it!
