I just finished Miss Meteor yesterday and adore it. I could not believe how few ratings it has on Goodreads! I know that Anna-Marie McLemore is a popular author and the cover is so fun that I thought it would have caught more readers attention. If you love diverse YA contemporary that centers around a beauty pageant, you need to read Miss Meteor asap.

I am not surprised to see that The Victorian and the Romantic has so few ratings- it is not a book I see a lot of people talking about. It is part memoir, part biography, and I absolutely adore it. A must read if you are a fan of Elizabeth Gaskell and her work!
Peter and Alice- 922 ratings
If you are like me and you do not read a lot of plays, I still think you may like Peter and Alice. It is only 96 pages and such a bittersweet read. It is the story of Alice from Alice and the Adventures of Wonderland and Peter from Peter Pan meeting. It is very well done!

If you are looking for the perfect YA contemporary to read this summer, you have to find a copy of The Unlikelies. My hard cover copy has to be the most summery book I own- I just love it. The story itself with also give you serious summer vibes while also delving into some deeper themes. It is a shame that it fell under the radar!

Once Upon an Eid is one of the best anthology collections I have ever read and I was shocked to see how few ratings it had, as I do feel as though I have seen this book around quite a bit. I loved the mix of stories in here- some bittersweet and others pure delight- and I found some new authors I want to read full length novels from!

I always say that if there is one nonfiction book I would recommend, it would be Disability Visibility. It is an eye-opening collection of essays, articles, blog posts, and more from writers with disabilities. I hope that Alice Wong puts together more volumes in the future!

I am shocked that Let Me Hear a Rhyme has so few ratings! All of Jackson’s other books seem to get the attention that they deserve, but this one flies under the radar for whatever reason. I think it may be because it is not really a thriller like her other works? It is more of a story about friendship, grief, and the power of music.

The Voting Booth came out last year and I thought it was very timely, so I am surprised it didn’t get more attention. If you want to get teenagers excited about the idea of voting, put this one in their hands.

Follow Me to Ground is one of the weirdest books I have ever read, but I loved it. I am not surprised to see it made this list because it will appeal to a very specific audience!

Supper Club is another book that I wouldn’t recommend widely. It was difficult to read a some points, but I continue to think about it and appreciate it more and more.
