Today’s TTT topic is about sharing the last ten books you read, but since I just posted my April wrap up, I thought that it would be repetitive. I figured I would twist this a little and share the first lines from the last ten books I read- I am always curious about the first line of a book!

I love your twist on this theme! The first line of Pride and Premeditation totally just hooked me 😅 I love how it mimicks Pride & Prejudice!
Right?! There are twist on a few iconic lines from the original throughout it. I really had fun reading it!
This is a lovely twist on the theme. First lines both tell us a lot and very little, I think!
I haven’t heard of Pride and Premediation previously but that first line is a great first impression!

I like the line from the Henna Artist best! I really enjoyed Save Me The Plums and that line was part of why. It took me back to looking through my Mom’s magazines. Magazines were the world when I was a kid in the 60s.
The first line of The Henna Artist says so much in so few words. Really sets the tone!
I want hooked on Save Me the Plums from the first sentence. There was something nostalgic about it!

I loved Klara and the Sun, and I’m looking forward to Second First Impressions.
Klara and the Sun is one of my favourite books. The more I think about it, the more I love it!
So many of these are on my TBR! I’m really wanting to read Jade City and Second First Impressions soon, and Klara and the Sun sounds amazing. I’m also super curious about Opal & Nev- I’ve heard the audiobook for it is fantastic so I want to check it out!
