Weekly Roundup

I always enjoy reading other bloggers’ weekly updates, so I thought I would start sharing mine as well! I will talk about the books that I read during the week and the BookTube videos that I posted, and I will also share some of my favourite blog posts that I came across throughout the week!

Books Read

One of my favourite true crime books in a long time. I appreciate the shift that the genre is taking in focusing on the victims. Well researched and thoughtfully done. Great on audio!

I can see why Luster gets mixed reviews but I really ended up enjoying it. I’m hoping it will be shortlisted for The Women’s Prize. Loved the author’s writing style and how she explored complicated relationships.

Book Cover

This was a really sweet YA contemporary novel! One I would put in the hands of every teenager I know. I wish I had a book like Fat Chance, Charlie Vega when I was in highschool. I think many readers will relate to Charlie. Also loved the female friendships!

Book Cover

A very atmospheric and engaging story. A book you can read in one sitting while trying to unwind the mystery!

My BookTube Videos

A weekly reading vlog and getting ready for warmer weather!

I am looking to read more books set in Toronto!

A good, old-fashioned book haul!

  1. You’ll enjoy Ayesha At Last! I just finished Hana Khan and one significant scene is set in Toronto….most of story is set outside of The city in a suburb?

  2. Happy to see you liked Luster! I’m not especially invested in seeing it shortlisted, but am glad to see it recognized by this year’s Women’s Prize and I loved Leilani’s prose so much that I’m eager to see what she’ll write next!
