Snow Day – What’s your “comfort” book?

1885

This is such a cliche answer, but it is the truth! Pride and Prejudice is the story I turn to when I need to read something family. The 2005 adaptation is my most watch movie. I watch it a few times a year! An instant mood booster for me.

Snow Angels – What’s a book that you love so much you would want to be buried with it(a little morid, but…)?

The Lonely Hearts Hotel

There were so many books that I could have chosen for this question, but I finally settled on The Lonely Hearts Hotel. It is such a beautiful book and has so many things that I adore in fiction. If you asked me to choose one book to sum up my reading taste, this is probably the one I would choose.

Warm Socks – What’s a book that makes you feel warm inside?(The fluffiest, cutest romance you’ve ever read?)

I finished Faking Under the Mistletoe last night, and the chemistry between Olivia and Asher is intense. If you are looking for some Christmasy books to read this season, this would be a great one. The story itself is just as adorable as the cover. I love how into Christmas Olivia is- there is something contagious about it. I do want to point out that there are trigger warnings for sexual assault and harassment. It is handled well, but not something you would expect to find in a holiday romance, so I wanted to make sure you were aware before picking it up. Faking Under the Mistletoe is currently available for free if you are a Kindle Unlimited member.

Hot Cocoa – What winter-themed novels have you previously read?

I have read a few wintery novels, but these are the three that stand out in my mind. The Bear and the Nightingale is one of the most atmospheric novels I have ever read- it will actually bring a chill to your bones. 10 Blind Dates is an adorable Christmasy YA romance with one of my favourite fictional families. Last Christmas in Paris is a heartbreaking historical fiction novel that I would consider rereading every December.

Sledding – What’s a book with the best plot twists? Who’s an author that always keeps you on your toes?

23125266

I Let You Go completely blind sided me! That is all I will say…

Ugly Sweaters – What’s a book with the ugliest cover?

No Exit

I am such a sucker for a good ugly Christmas sweater, but I cannot say the same for an ugly cover. I am definitely someone who judges a book by its cover! I am the only one who hates the cover for No Exit? It isn’t my favourite book either, but I know so many people loved it. This would make for a perfect thriller to read this time of year, as it takes place during a snow storm.

Movie Marathon – What’s the last book you binge read?

15797848

There’s Someone Inside Your House is not the greatest book out there, but it is extremely fast paced and a fun teen slasher type novel. I heard that it is being adapted into a movie, and that is definitely something I would watch. I read the book in one sitting- I had to know what was happening!

Letter to Santa – What’s a book that’s on your wishlist this year?

Do I even need to explain? I need to read this book!

  1. Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite books and it is definitely a comfort read for me too. I re-read it nearly every year and in my mind, there is nothing better.
