WWW Wednesday (October 21, 2020)

It has been too long since I posted a WWW Wednesday, especially since I enjoy reading everyone’s posts each week. I love to know what my fellow bloggers are currently reading! I have been reading a lot of great books lately but I do not have the time to review them all, so I figured this was a good way to highlight them.

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Matt Haig is one of my favourite authors, so I have high hopes for The Midnight Library. I knew from the opening page that this book was going to be beautiful, and it is. I am trying to savour it because I think it is going to be one of the best books of the year. It is a book about books and there is a cat on the cover- what more could I want?

Libro.fm was kind enough to send me an ALC of Plain Bad Heroines. I connect with Danforth’s writing and I remember really loving The Miseducation of Cameron Post when I read it years ago. I was so excited to see that she had released another book! This is one of those books that hooks you from the first page, and, even though it is over 600 pages, I think I will get through it quickly.

I cannot stop thinking about Don’t Look For Me! It was truly chilling and had me on the edge of my seat. It was interesting to see how the two storylines paralleled one another and how the reader had information that the characters did not. I need to read more from Wendy Walker, so I will have to find a copy of Emma in the Night!

Hamnet has been receiving a lot of attention and award nominations, and I already know that I am a huge fan of Maggie O’Farrell’s writing- her memoir is one of my favourites. I have no idea why it is called Hamnet & Judith here in Canada, but I recently purchased a copy and am so excited to experience it!

Skyhunter will be the next audiobook I listen to. I have been in a SciFi mood lately, and I have enjoyed all of the books I have read from Marie Lu so far. The reviews so far have been amazing and I am so excited to dive into it.

Have you read any of these books? What did you think?
