I love a good book quote. I have picked up books based solely on reading one quote, and it often pays off! There are so many quotes I love and want to share with you all, but I wanted this post to have more of a focus, so these are some of my favourite quotes from the books I have read so far in 2020. You will see that I am drawn to quotes that are short yet impactful.

“The excuses we make for them are outrageous, but they’re nothing compared with the ones we make for ourselves.”Kate Elizabeth Russell, My Dark Vanessa
“Home is what you take with you, not what you leave behind.”N.K. Jemisin, The Fifth Season
“Even on the most terrible days, even when the worst of us are all we can think of, I am proud to be a human.”Hank Green, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing
“Fight until you can’t breathe, & if you have to forfeit, you forfeit smiling, make them think you let them win.”Elizabeth Acevedo, Clap When You Land
