Blog Posts I Loved This Week

I adore the blogger community. I am constantly in awe of the level of commitment and creativity! I know that I could be better at sharing posts from my fellow bloggers, so I plan to make this a weekly feature where I share some of my favourite posts of the week!

Sasha and Amber Read compiled a list of sapphic books coming out in 2021! They included the release date, the genre, and a description of each book. I cannot imagine how much work went in to putting this list together- it is much appreciated. I have added so many of these to my TBR.

Shealea at Shut Up, Shealea put together a list of 31 Filipino bookish creators. She included links to each person’s book blog, bookstagram, booktube channel, twitter, and Goodreads account! I found some many new creators to follow. I love when bloggers shoutout fellow bloggers and creators- this is such a supportive community, and Shealea is one of the best people at uplifting the voices of others.

Northern Plunder

Lauren at Northern Plunder shared a very helpful post, which included a video, about how to format a book review using the WordPress block editor. I have seen many people on Twitter talking about their struggles with the new editor, which I completely understand. I have been using it for a year now and I continue to struggle with it at times. I think many people will find Lauren’s tips super informative- it was for me!

A Week in the Life of the Block Editor and Me (white text over an open laptop background)

Speaking of the block editor, Carol at Reading Ladies shared her experience of using it for a week. She had a lot of ups and downs, but some of the things she learned were helpful for me. I think those of us who are struggle with it will relate to her experience! Check out the comments for other bloggers who are having difficulties with it as well.

noreadstoogreat

Norees at No Reads Too Great recommends books based on your favourite TV shows. I thought this was such a clever idea, and I got a ton of amazing recommendations and I think you will too.

There are so many blog posts that I love each and every week, so this is just a fraction of the ones that stood out to me!

What was your favourite blog post of the week and/or do you have a post of your own that you are proud of? Leave a link in the comments!

  1. Wow! Thanks for sharing the Block Editor blog post. I’m struggling with it. It took me close to a year to learn the first time around and within another year, they brought a be editor. 😭

Thank you so much! Gonna go read it now.

  2. I need to check out the block editor links. My frustration has been I don’t have time or mental space to learn anything new especially in an arena (blogging) which for me is sort of a relatively stress free happy place (and I need all the happy places I can find in 2020). So I’ve been blocked on the block editor. LOL…but seriously.
