This year I am reading…
I am a few chapters into You Had Me at Hola, and I am really enjoying it so far. I was pleasantly surprised that the story is told from both perspectives, which is something I love in romance. I want to know what both characters are thinking! I am also drawn to stories about celebrities, so this is the perfect book for me. I love that there is awkwardness between the two main characters, and I cannot wait to see how their relationship develops as the story goes on!

My Friend Anna was not my favourite book, but it is certainly a quick read. I had a difficult time feeling too bad for Rachel DeLoache Williams, but her story is interesting. I am curious to know more about Anna Delvey and her deception and scams; however, I think I would have appreciated hearing the story from a different perspective.
Once again, these are two very different books. I can already tell that I much prefer You Had Me at Hola, but I think they are both quick and entertaining reads. Another parallel is that they both involve celebrities and fame in some way. In You Had Me at Hola, both Jasmine and Ashton are actors, and the author of My Friend Anne (which is non-fiction) works for a magazine and interacts with celebrities.

Ah this is super interesting! This time last year I was rereading Red, White and Royal Blue and finishing up The Ten Thousand Doors of January. And right now I am reading Hamnet, so very different vibes
All books that are on my TBR! I cannot wait to hear all your thoughts on Hamnet. I adore Maggie O’Farrell’s writing!
Oooo, this is kind of fun! Last year at this time I was reading City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty as a third time reread. Such a great book! This year I’m reading Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor. Completely different vibes. 😂

This time last year I was reading Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale. A psychological thriller I really enjoyed.

This time last year I was reading Reading People by Anne Bogel and the Boys of Oak Prep series by Callie Rose. The former was decent, and the latter I flew through in a matter of days!
Right now I am in the middle of three books: House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas, Lovely War by Julie Berry, and Private Lessons by Cynthia Salaysay.
