This is a meme created by Reading Marie, and I am so excited to participate for the first time!
It is so easy to join in and here are the rules:
Take your current read and compare it to what you reading this exact time last year. Which one do you like better? What is different about the books? Any special facts/things you want to make note of or bring attention to
This year I am reading…

I am not far into One to Watch, but I am already loving it. I love that the main character is a fashion blogger- it is always interesting to read about blogging and social media in general. I cannot wait to see how the reality TV show storyline plays out!
Last year I was reading…

This is a great reminder that I need to continue on with The Murderbot Diaries. There are five books in the series so far, but I have only read the first two. I love this series so so much and I am completely attached to Murderbot! It would be so fun to read the next three books before the end of the summer.

These two books could not be more different, but I have to say that they are equally entertaining. Artificial Condition is less than 200 pages, while One to Watch is over 400. One is contemporary, while the other is SciFi. One thing that both books have in common is the role that television plays in the story. Bea, the main character of One to Watch, finds herself as the lead on a “Bachelor”-type reality show, while Murderbot, the main character in Artificial Condition, discovers TV and would watch all day long if he could. Definitely an interesting connection between these two books!

I also need to read more Murderbot. I really loved the first book, but I’m pretty bad about reading a whole series.
Murderbot is everything! I suck at series too.
Thank you SO much for participating, I love this! I really need to get my act together and read One to Watch! <3
It’s so fun to look back on what I was reading a year ago! I just know you’ll love One to Watch.
I read the first Murderbot book last week for the Reading Rush and thought it was very interesting (wasn’t particularly blown away by it thugh). I def do want to continue with the series. 🙂
This is such a fun meme!!! I don’t have records of what I was reading exactly a year ago, but I think I’ll start participating in a few months when I do 🙂
I really need to read more Murderbot. I read the first one and liked it a lot (although didn’t love it), but I’ve heard it only gets better 🙂
I think it does. I definitely enjoyed the second one more!
