For this week’s topic I thought it would be fun to go to my Goodreads and sort my “want to read” by number of ratings. These are five books on my TBR with a high number of ratings on Goodreads.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

2020 is the year I will finally read Jane Eyre. I know I have said this many times, but trust me, it is true! I actually purchased the audiobook, so the odds of this actually happening have increased exponentially! It is interesting to me that of all of the classics I have on my TBR, it is Jane Eyre that is most popular.
Good Omens by Terry Patchett and Neil Gaiman

Technically American Gods by Neil Gaiman has more reviews, but I have talked about how in going to read that book for years now that it is just embarrassing at this point! I actually started the audiobook for Good Omens at one point and was enjoying it. I don’t know what distracted me, but I hope to return to it soon.
11/22/63 by Stephen King

There are a number of Stephen King books I’m intrigued by, but 11/22/63 is the one that calls to me the most. I like that it is different from the majority of his other words. I’m a huge fan of speculative fiction, so I have high hopes for this one!
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah

I knew that this book was popular, but had no idea it was quite this popular. I have owned The Great Alone since it was released, but I have been wary of it since I have an unpopular opinion of The Nightingale. That being said, the premise of The Great Alone sounds like something I would enjoy.
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

Station Eleven is a book I know I will love and have been meaning to read for years. I’m thinking it hits a little close to home right now, so it is going to have to wait a little bit longer. I did read Mandel’s latest released and very much enjoyed her writing.
Jane Eyre is super good .
Ah yes, The Great Alone! I forgot about that one, I own it in my Kindle! I haven’t read it yet either!!

I loved Station Eleven, and if you love audiobooks, I would recommend it.
I actually have The Great Alone, 11/22/63 and Good Omens on my tbr for this year.
I’m going to read 11/22/63 as part of my Popsugar reading challenge for: “A fiction or nonfiction book about a world leader”. And Good Omens for: “A book with the same title as a movie or TV show but is unrelated to it” (not sure if it fits, but I’ll aiming for it)

You’re not alone with this list. Beyond Jane Eyre, I’ve not any title on this list. I keep meaning to read Good Omens, especially after watching the show, just need to be in the right mood for it.
Jane Eyre is really good! I have a good feeling that you’ll enjoy it. I want to read that Stephen King book as well … It sounds really good. I just keep forgetting about it haha!

Love Jane Eyre and Station Eleven though I read Station right before this pandemic so it freaked me out. Would recommend after we get through this. I enjoyed most of 11/22/63 but didn’t get a chance to finish before it had to be returned to the library and there was a waitlist. I just got The Great Alone in the mail for an upcoming book club read. Can’t wait!
Station Eleven is really good but I found it disturbing before the current pandemic. Would advise holding off. Jane Eyre is a good choice for now.

I have read two of the books on your list, Good Omens, and I loved it, and Station Eleven. I know that it is a very popular book, but it wasn’t my cup of tea, sadly!

Okay, wow, yours is the first T5T post I’ve seen this week where I’ve actually read all the books! I only read Jane Eyre recently — had felt like it was a big gap in my reading history — and I ended up loving it. Listening to the audiobook sounds like a great idea! Good Omens is amazing! It makes me so happy. 🙂 I loved 11/22/63 and Station Eleven, and The Great Alone was one of my favorite books last year. Enjoy!

Jane Eyre was so good! I do hop you’ll have a great reading experience with it.
Station Eleven does touch on a similar situation to what’s going on now, so I wouldn’t recommend it right now if you’re trying to avoid apocalyptic reads. However, I don’t think it’s too dark.

I have yet to read Jane Eyre in full. I’ve seen both the movie and BBC series, but haven’t gotten through the book yet. I tried when I was in high school but couldn’t get through it. Maybe we both might be able to finally read it this year! And I’ve been meaning to read Good Omens since the show came out (it’s brilliant haha). But I’m worried it might be too weird? I’m still intrigued though. I hope you manage to read all these this year! 😀
The only one I’ve read of these is Station Eleven. Personally, I HATED it. I almost DNF’d it but it was a buddy read so I stuck it out. It’s not at all what I expected. I hope you like it more than I did!

Im intrigued by a lot of Stephen King’s books too. First up for me will probably be Salem’s Lot but the one you’ve mentioned is high on the list too as so many people love that one. And I’m hoping to read Jane Eyre too but it honestly depends on how my reading goes – I want to tackle some of the books I own first.
