I thought that staying home would mean that I would be reading more often, but that has been far from the case. I feel like I am just starting to get back into it. I thought that I would share with you some of those books that I hope to read in the next few weeks, but being a mood reader this could easily change!
Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O’Neill

This is my current read (along with Cresent City for a buddy read) and it is incredible so far. Heather O’Neill is one of my favourite authors and this book has reminded me why. She is a master at creating atmosphere and I find myself deeply attached to her characters. This book is emotional and I am ready for it to destroy me.
The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

I have preordered The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires, which actually comes out tomorrow! I am unsure when it will actually get here but as soon as it does I am dropping everything to read it. I have been anxiously awaiting its release and I have a feeling it is going to be a new favourite. As I keep saying, I am so ready for vampires to come back!
Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

It is finally happening! I am fully committed to reading Gemina and maybe even Obsidio. It would be so satisfying to finally finish this series, especially since I loved Illuminae so much. So many people tell me that Gemina is the best book in the series!
The Brideship Wife by Leslie Howard

I received an ARC of The Brideship Wife from Simon and Schuster Canada and something about it is calling to me. I am in the mood for a historical fiction novel set during the Victorian Era! I have been drawn to books set in Canada lately and this one is set in British Columbia.
Still Life by Louise Penny

This is a series I have been wanting to read for years, but so far there are sixteen books! That is very intimidating, especially for someone like me who is terrible a series. That said, there is something about it that I am drawn to and my gut says I will love. Another bonus is that it is set in Canada.
Well Met by Jen DeLuca

Well Met just sounds adorable and I know that at some point I am going to be in the mood for a cute romance. I have heard great things about Well Met and I love that it takes place at a Renaissance Faire. I actually read the first chapter a few months ago and was enjoying it, but I got distracted by something else.
Lost in a Good Book by Jasper Forde

I feel like I talk about how much I loved The Eyre Affair constantly on this blog, so I am mad at myself for waiting so long to continue with the series. I have a feeling that it is a series that just gets better and better. I love the whole premise of these books and I can not wait to see where the story goes!

I completely agree with you … it’s been over 2 weeks and I haven’t even finished one book … it’s like the thought of reading was overwhelming. I’ve literally been switching between watching Netflix or playing Sims 4.
But I’ve actually been wanting to get back into it now, so hopefully that’s a good sign! I’ve heard a lot of good things about Well Met! I hope you enjoy it!
No greater distraction than Sims 4. I have been meaning to play myself but then I get sucked in my animal crossing!
I hope you find your way out of your slump, but nothing wrong with Netflix and Sims 4!
I wanna play that so badly but I don’t have a switch … if there are some sales eventually, I’m going to get one and the game ha-ha! And thank you! <3
I am so glad I purchased a switch before all of this! They are sold out everywhere.
I KNOW! 🙁
I loved Well Met. I hope you can read it soon and enjoy it. Great list!
I have a feeling I will love it as well!
I love the Inspector Gamache series! I started reading when there were maybe 12 books. They just keep getting better and better!
Ah that is so good to hear!!
I hope you can read all of them some time soon! Especially Gemina, I really like that one!

Gemina and Well Met are two favorites of mine. Hope you get to them all
That makes me so happy to hear!
I’m also hoping to read Well Met this month or in May!
I hope we both love it!
Great TBR! Hope you enjoy all the books! I loved Gemina – the audiobook is great and I went through it in just a day or two. I hope you love it as well.
You’re going to love Lost In A Good Book, I promise!
I really want to read Well Met ASAP too. I hope you get the chance to read all of these books soon.
Thank you. I hope so too!
I couldn’t agree more about the return of vampires!! I hope you enjoy (or enjoyed) the book 😊 I hope you end up loving all of these though.
I did enjoy it! Completely different from what I was expecting, but in a good way!
