I have decided to start doing monthly non-bookish favourites. I think it is fun to talk about things other than books on this blog every once in awhile, and I figured this was a great way to do it! I will talk about all of the movies, TV shows, music, food, etc I loved during the month.
My mom is a huge fan of Downton Abbey, so it was fun to go see the movie with her. I thought that it had all of the charm and delight of the TV show. Maggie Smith was as brilliant as ever, and I loved that a large part of the story focused on Branson- he is my favourite!
I always say that this is my favourite Marvel movie, but it has been awhile since I watched it. I loved it just as much this time! The dynamic between Thor and Loki is one of my favourite things. I also loved that we got to see Thor and Bruce form a stronger relationship. Valkyrie is a complete badass and Hela is one of my favourite villains. Such an entertaining movie!
Interior Design Masters
I am all about interior design shows, and you can find this one on Netflix! I still have two episodes left, but I have been enjoying it so far. I think all of the challenges are very unique, and each of the designers have their own styles. I love that the designs are never boring or predictable!
Great Australian Bake Off
Don’t get me wrong, I love the British version as well and I am watching the current season- I absolutely adore Henry! But, there is something about the Australian version that brings the charm factor to a whole other level and I think that something is Maggie Beer. She is just so damn sweet!!
Raising Hell by Kesha
Kesha has been through it, and I love that she has come back stronger than ever! This is one of those songs that is not only catchy but surprisingly meaningful. She looks gorgeous in the video but beware- trigger warnings for domestic violence.
Bruises (Delta Jack Remix) by Lewis Capaldi
This song has been out for awhile now but I have been playing it on repeat lately! I just loved Lewis Capadli’s voice.
With Fall here is full force, I have been drinking a lot of tea and hot chocolate, which means I have been using more mugs lately. I have always been a mug collector and these are the three that I got my hands on this month. I am a complete sucker for a Halloween mug, and how could I pass up on the Jon Snow mug? I say that line all of the time!
Tim Hortons White Hot Chocolate
I have always absolutely loved Tim Hortons white hot chocolate, so when I saw in at the grocery store I was thrilled! I can now have one of my favourite drinks anytime the mood hits. I know that you can also get their French Vanilla Cappuccino, which is another one of my favourites.
PÜR X BARBIE Lipstick in Timeless
I was such a Barbie fan growing up, so when I saw that Pur had a collaboration with Barbie I knew I had to grab something. The packaging is gorgeous in person, and although the lipstick itself looks sparkly, it actually goes on matte. I am so impressed with the staying power!
Have you watched, listened to, or tried any of my favourites? What was your favourite non-bookish thing this month?
