My friends and family know me so well! Every year I receive so many amazing book themed gifts for my birthday and it makes my heart happy to know that the people who love me truly get me.

A collection of hilarious and relatable literary themed postcards. Flipping through these was good for a laugh and do not be surprised if you see me post one of the postcards on my blog from time to time. They are just too great not to share!

This might just be my favourite edition of Pride and Prejudice that I own! The illustrations are stunning and the edges are sprayed a beautiful teal colour. It is just a gorgeous book!

I can not believe that I did not own a copy of Winnie the Pooh already! I adore all things Winnie the Pooh and I am thrilled that I now have this sweet edition on my shelves. I will have to reread this one soon!

I am starting to get quite the collection of books turned in to graphic novels and I am not mad about it! The graphic novel version of The Handmaid’s Tale is stunning and I can not wait to experience the story this way.

This is a coffee table book that talks about the 100 books that were featured in The Great American Reads special on PBS. I had no idea that this even existed and it is so beautiful!

The perfect socks with a quote from Ernest Hemingway!

Bookish Perfume

Ellis Brooklyn Bibliotheca

How cool is this? The name of each of these scents is book-related! My favourites so far are Sci Fi and Myth. It is fun because you can mix and match the scents and create your own perfume.

Commodity Book Set

A candle, perfume, and body lotion that are book-scented! They smell so freaking good!

  1. Love the postcard, so funny! And yay for fellow cat lovers! I volunteer for a local shelter and can’t get enough kitties!

Congrats on the great gifts for your bday, and happy belated!

      1. Yeah, that postcard is lit! Definitely share more when you get the chance.

Thank you! It always makes me feel great to go in, especially when I’m directly responsible for an adoption.

I totally hear you on the foster front. I couldn’t do it either. I’d have 1,506 cats in like two months. Ah!

  2. Happy birthday šŸ˜Š

I also do not own a copy of Winnie the Pooh šŸ˜ this needs to change. My plan is to get all the stuffed toys from the Disney shop. Living alone = living like a big kid … already got Lady and the Tramp sat guarding my TV haha

    1. Thank you!

It puts a smile on my face to see a copy of Winnie the Pooh on my shelves. I love Disney and particularly Lady and the Tramp. My dad bought me a signed picture that was drawn by the original Lady and the Tramp illustrator. It is one of my most prized possessions!

  3. Your family did good! I love the look of the kitty book, how brilliant!

Have you read the graphic novel of The Handmaid’s Tale yet? I didn’t know they had one. Let me know what you think of it, I would imagine that some of the scenes would be uncomfortable.
