My mom and I adore Peter Likes Books so we decided to join his book club. Chances by Jackie Collins is one of the books we will be reading so she was nice enough to buy it for me. I have never read anything by Jackie Collins but I am looking forward to it. It seems like a perfect summer read!

First, We Make the Beast Beautiful by Sarah Wilson

IMG_20180603_1454097

The cover of this book is stunning and it is supposed to be an accurate account of what it is like to deal with anxiety. The way the book is written looks different and I am curious to see what I think about it!

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

I was so excited when I saw Six of Crows! I must have mentioned it to my mom, or she pays attention to my blog. I am so excited to finally read this book and see what all the hype is about!

Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli

I adored Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda when I read it earlier this year and I quickly added Leah on the Offbeat to my TBR. There have been a lot of mixed reviews but I am hopeful that I am going to love it!

Puddin’ by Julie Murphy

I listened to Puddin’ on audiobook last month and thought is was really charming and entertaining. I am so happy that I now have a physical copy and hopefully one day soon I will reread it!

Every Note Played by Lisa Genova

Lisa Genova is one of my few auto-buy authors and I am so happy that I have a copy of her latest book! I have not heard a lot about it and I am so excited to pick it up. It is about a concert pianist who has ALS and it sounds very emotional and moving.

Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I finally have Obsidio so I have no excuse for not reading Gemina yet! This summer I plan to read Gemina and then Obsidio right after. I love this series and I think I am just not ready for it to be over.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is one of my favourite books of all time. I made the mistake of lending it to a family member years ago and it was never to be seen again. I am thrilled to have a copy of this heartbreaking but beautiful book on my shelf again.

As a cat lover, this book is absolutely perfect for me! It is a collection of different poems and stories about cats written throughout history! I am keeping this book on my nightstand and plan to read a few entries every night before bed.

Recently, I have started to really love cooking and have started a cookbook collection. This cookbook is full of delicious but easy recipes that speak to my Italian roots! I can not wait to try a few of these recipes and maybe I will even share the results on my blog.

She (Kate Spade)

I have all of the Kate Spade coffee table books and I have to say that I think this one is my favourite. It focuses on women and female empowerment. There are some really powerful quotes and beautiful pictures throughout. The book is just plain stunning as well!

This book candle from Commodity smells absolutely beautiful! I am going to share the description of this candle:

Inspired by the great novels of Hemingway and Fitzgerald, Book is an exciting mixture of spicy cucumber and torchwood with many unexpected twists and pleasantries. Book is a fresh and woodsy scent that is loved by both men and women.

  10. I just finished Illuminae a couple of days ago, and I went and bought Gemina yesterday. But I bought the first two in paperback so I will have to wait for Obsidio to come out in paperback too.
