WWW Wednesday (1)

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading-

Educated by Tara Westover

Educated is a non-fiction novel about a woman whose father was survivalist and as a result, she did not enter a classroom until the age of seventeen. She ends up going to Harvard and Cambridge! I am not far in to it but I have a feeling I am going to love this one. It is already reminding me of Glass Castle which is one of my favourite memoirs.

Just Finished-

Other People’s Houses by Abbi Waxman

I was so excited when Penguin Random House Canada sent this to me that I had to pick it up right away, and then I could not put it down! It very much reminded me of Liane Moriarty’s books! It is about how this neighbourhood is connect and how their lives affect one another. There is a lot of tension and drama, but there is also a lot that I think other people will relate to.

Lincoln in the Bardo by George Sanders

Wow! I have never read a book quite like this one! It is told in such a unique way that takes some getting used to but is ultimately wonderful and effective! I was not expecting to be so moved by this novel. It is an interesting look at grief. I will be thinking about this book for a long time.

Reading Next

The Amateurs by Liz Harmer

30850835

This is another book that was sent to me by Penguin Random House Canada and I am really excited about it. First of all, look at that cover! It might be one of my all time favourites. It is also written by a Canadian and as I have mentioned before, I am trying to read more books written by fellow Canadians. It is about time travel and that is all I need to know! The tagline sounds creepy! It is “You are not welcome here… Come back, come back.”

      1. I’ll definitely keep that in mind! I’ve been on a reading binge the last couple months. I’m sure a slump is quickly approaching. lol

  1. I’m really looking forward to reading Educated myself. I love how you are comparing it to The Glass Castle, I loved that book! Looking forward to your review!

  2. Other People’s Houses sounds really good. I need to check that one out for sure! Same for Educated too. Love the cover for The Amateurs. I hope you enjoy it!

  3. I keep looking at Lincoln in the Bardo as I’ve been very tempted by it. Contrary person that I am though it’s all of the great things I keep hearing about it that are putting me off.
