WWW Wednesday (1)

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading-

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden

I am so excited that I am finally reading The Bear and the Nightingale! I have seen it everyone and everyone loves it! I have mentioned how much I want to read this book on my blog so many times now. I have only read one chapter so I can not really comment on my thoughts so far, but I have high hopes for it.

Just Finished-

Sing Unburied Sing by Jesmyn Ward

Sing, Unburied, Sing was beautifully written, and deserves all of the hype that surrounds it. It was difficult to read at times, but that is part of what makes it so amazing and important. I will now read anything that Jesmyn Ward writes- she is a genuis!

Gunslinger Girl by Lyndsay Ely

I have read so many heavy books this month, so it was a joy to finally sit down and devour an action-packed YA book! Gunslinger Girl is so fast-paced and I could not put it down. I love these characters, and the setting is really unique and one of the highlights on the book.

Wonder by R.J. Palacio

Wow this book! I pretty much read Wonder in one sitting! Auggie will always have a special place in my heart. He is now one of my most beloved characters. The story is charming, sometimes sad, but overall uplifting. It is a middle grade novel, but I felt like it reinforced the importance of kindness in my life. It is a book not only children should read but adults as well. We can all learn a lot from it.

Reading Next

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

I have never read a book by Adam Silvera, and I am happy that I am finally getting around to reading one of his books. I have heard so many great things about They Both Die at the End and I am definitely intrigued by it. I can not wait to see what I think about Adam Silvera’s writing!

  4. Two years ago my entire school district – including administration offices – read Wonder. It was a phenomenal year and I think really had an impact on our kids. I know mine walked away much more sympathetic and kind individuals.

I hope you really enjoy The Bear and the Nightingale! I also want to read it.
