WWWWednesday

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading-

My True Love Gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins– I have read 7 of the short stories at the time that I am writing this and I have absolutely loved 5 of them. My favourite so far is ‘It’s a Yuletide Christmas, Charlie Brown’ by Stephanie Perkins with ‘Midnights’ by Rainbow Rowell in a close second! I was hoping that this book would put me in the Christmas spirit and it definitely has.

Recently Finished-

The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O’Neill– I have talked about this book a few times already but I can not say enough good things about it.  It is an instant favourite.  It is dark, provocative and just plain amazing.  I have seen in compared to the Night Circus and I can sort of the see the connection but I believe this book is even better!

Legend by Marie Lu– I picked this up because I was waiting for my Book Outlet books to be delivered.  I am actually happy that it took so long to arrive because it gave me an excuse to finally read Legend.  I really did enjoy it and totally understand why it was so hyped a few years ago.  I have so many series that I need to finish but I would like to pick up the next book some time soon!

Reading Next-

The Smell of Other People’s Houses by Bonnie-Sue Hitchcook– I purchased this book during Black Friday on Book Outlet.  I have heard some great things about it and I find it refreshing that it is under 300 pages.  I am really excited to see what I end up thinking about it! I definitely have not read many books set in Alaska so that should be interesting!

I would love to know what you are reading! Are you reading any holiday books?

  1. Ohh, I cannot wait to read your review on The Lonely Heart’s Hotel! I haven’t read The Night Circus yet, but with your saying TLHH is even better, I cannot wait!!

  2. I remember reading My True Love Gave to Me around Christmastime a year or two ago and it was SO GOOD <3 I haven't read the corresponding summer short story collection yet, but it's definitely on my TBR 🙂

  3. The title really puts me off The Smell of Other People’s Houses. It just makes me bleurgh and I can’t even read the blurb.

My True Love Gave To Me is a brilliant collection. There’s a great mix but the two you mention were probably my faves too.

  4. I’m glad My True Love Gave to Me got you in the spirit. I’m terrible about reading seasonal books. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

  5. No, I’m not really reading any holiday books, but that’s okay. I generally like to read nice fluffy romances or epic fantasy tales around this time of year anyway.

I recently read some Avatar comics and some My Hero Academia manga, and I am currently reading The Forgotten Book by Mechthilde Glaser, and Gunslinger Girl by Lyndsay Ely. I don’t know exactly what I’ll be reading next, but it will probably be something off my Diverse December TBR list.

  6. Glad to hear you’re loving MTLGTM so far! I, unfortunately, do not share the same opinion but hopefully I’ll get to enjoy the next few stories more 🙂
The Lonely Hearts Hotel sounds amazing and I definitely plan to read it soon!
    Great post, Kristin <3
