WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading-
Mosquitoland by David Arnold– I am less than 100 pages in to this book but I am definitely intrigued. I am getting a little bit of John Green vibes from this book? I really think it has the potential to be amazing.
Recently Finished-
White Oleander by Janet Fitch
This book is heavy and difficult to read but I really liked it. White Oleander will not be for everyone but it is exactly the kind of book that I enjoy. I will explain more of my thoughts in my wrap up.
Breaking Free: How I Escaped My Father- Warren Jeffs- Polygamy, and the FLDS Cult by Rachel Jeffs
I have read a few books about Warren Jeffs and the FLDS Cult. It is definitely a topic that interests me. I can not believe the horrible experiences that Rachel endured and how resilient she is. She is an incredibly strong woman and I thoroughly enjoyed reading her novel.
Reading Next-
The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O’Neill- This book is one of the books that I think will be five stars for me! I love the cover and the synopsis is really captivating. I can not wait to see what I end up thinking about it.
This month has not been the greatest reading month for me but I finally feel like I am getting my reading groove back. I am looking forward to the books that I have lined up to read this week. What are you currently reading?

Ohhh adding Kids of Appetite to my Goodreads tbr!!
whooop whooop!!! 🙂
Loved Mosquitoland! Definitely agree with the “John Green vibes,” but in a way I love Arnold’s writing style even more!
I can totally see that. His writing seems more natural!
I really loved White Oleander too, and look forward to hearing what you think about The Lonely Hearts Hotel. Happy reading Kristin!
Thank you!!
Now I’m intrigued with White Oleander…
It is so dark but really good. I was so invested in the main character.
I have Mosquitoland and have been meaning to read it for forever maybe that will be my next go to.
That would be fun! We could compare notes!
That would be cool I’ll let you know when I finish!!
I’m super intrigued to see what you’re going to think of The Lonely Hearts Hotel. I keep seeing it in my Goodreads recommendations, but I’m always on the fence about it. Eager to see your thoughts on it! Wonderful post, Kristin! 🙂
Thank you! I will definitely post a review when I finish it!
I listened to the abridged audiobook of White Oleander and had a similar opinion. It sounds like the full version is equally heartbreaking. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
Thank you! Definitely one of the most heart wrenching novels I have read!
I read The White Oleander when I was in high school and loved it!
It is really good! Can’t believe it took me this long to read it.
Hmm…my most finished book was Avatar: the Last Airbender: The Lost Adventures by Bryan Konietzko. My current reads are My Hero Academia, Vol 2 by Kohei Horikoshi, and The Runaways by Brian K Vaughan. And my next read is probably Dear Martin by Nic Stone.
I definitely want to read Dear Martin. I see everyone on Twitter raving about it. Hope you have a good week!
I hope you have a good week as well.
Dear Martin is going to be the first book I read for Diverse December. I’ve heard a lot of great things about it, and it’s a shorter book which makes it perfect to start the month with as I have 14 books on my TBR, plus a couple ARCs to read as well.
The Lonely Hearts Hotel was amazing to me 😍 Its not for everyone but I hope you like it and we can discuss it together ❤️❤️👏
That would be great!
The Lonely Hearts Hotel is SO eye-catching! I’ve seen it three times this week and each time I just stop and stare and take it in. Look forward to what you think of Mosquitoland. I bought it and haven’t started it yet, but I liked Looking for Alaska John Green.
Really excited about The Lonely Hearts Hotel. The cover is gorgeous!
Really liking Mosquitoland so far. Will definitely post a review!
I really love the cover of Lonely Hearts hotel and it sounds so good!
It is even nicer in person!

I loved White Oleander, I thought it was so beautifully written. I’m really looking forward to reading Breaking Free, even if it’s a tough topic. Great post!
